UMG is looking for a coordinator to provide support to the Republic Collective Creative Sync Team. This department is responsible for pitching the label’s rosters for placements in all media including Film, TV, Trailers, Sports, Video Games, and Ads. They touch on every aspect of synchronization, including identifying and brokering licensing opportunities, creating and securing soundtracks, on-camera performances, and custom recordings. This position serves Island, Def Jam, Republic Records, Mercury, MCA, and Casablanca. The ideal candidate is obsessively detailed, pro-active, has a knack for problem solving and a “can do” attitude. Passion for music, entrepreneurial spirit, polished professional demeanor, and the ability to keep calm under pressure are musts.
How You'll Create:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing the team’s audio library in Disco for all frontline and catalog releases and ensuring we have all appropriate assets (stems, instrumentals, union info, lyrics etc.)
- Acting as the main liaison between A&R and the sync team for client asset requests
- Compiling and maintain release schedules across the label group
- Tracking down writer and publisher information, marketing assets, label copy, lyrics etc. for client requests
- Acting as the point person for all Disco related queries and concerns – communicating with Disco’s support team to implement updates in our library
- Attending weekly clearance meetings, including flagging issues with the team and updating our metadata accordingly
- Tracking pending sync deals and updating our internal databases
- Monthly expense reports
- Assisting in creative pitches when needed
- Additional duties as assigned

Experience:
- Previous experience interning or assisting at a major label, publisher, or music supervision company preferred
