They will be responsible for delivering all copy, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all messaging, proactively making recommendations for projects, and actively participating in knowledge sharing within the team.
Must have:
  • 4-6 years of copywriting experience in top agencies
  • Ability to manage workflow and prioritize workloads effectively
  • Ability to challenge a client's brief and guide them
  • Excellent communication and team player skills
  • Knowledge of social, production, print and digital
Good to have:
  • Experience with a Banking or Finance brand
  • Understanding of AI tools

Role: Copy Team Lead

Location: Manila, Philippines 

 

About the role: 

OLIVER is a rapidly expanding creative services agency with a twist – we provide our clients with bespoke dedicated agencies that operate from within their offices. We are building a team of individuals who have the ability and confidence to learn on the job and help the client transform their marketing capabilities. The Copy Team Lead will need to work on-site with one of our key clients in Philippines. The Copyn Team Lead will have a strong integrated copy or editorial background, with a deep knowledge of digital first advertising and creative. This person will be looking to develop their management skills and to build effective working relationships with our client’s key stakeholders. The role is a hybrid role that will be split between design and client management. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of digital first advertising and creative, with an experience in moving motion digital content. Reporting into the Business Director, the candidate will lead in conceptualizing and developing creative assets social media, content creation, direct to consumer content, owned assets, product collaterals, and other branded assets.

They would need to create copies to the client’s brief and exacting standards whilst positively influencing clients with their creative input in addition to undertaking and pitching new creative concepts.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Working closely with both the client and team to deliver all copy to ensure consistency and accuracy across all messaging to the agreed briefs and established brand values 
  • Create a tone of voice consistent for the brand throughout all copy and proactively make recommendations for the direction of client projects 
  • Proactive and adaptable, able to effectively work under pressure
  • Responsible for the timely delivery of projects, escalating any potential issues the relevant parties
  • Actively participate in the sharing of knowledge and the facilitation of learning within the team 
  • A strong record in creating immaculate copy that stands out from the crowd 
  • A persuasive and confident approach to creativity 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Ability to work well independently, as well as with a team 
  • A keen attention to detail and timelines 
  • Confidence in copy editing and proofreading

 

What you need to be great in this role:

  • To be self-motivated, working with little supervision, communicating clearly with a line manager about own development needs. 
  • Expert storyteller who’s able to find interesting and engaging ways of dramatizing subject matters
  • A minimum of 4 to 6 years in copywriting at / across top-level agencies.
  • The ability to manage and filter workflow as well as organise and prioritise workloads to maximise productivity
  • Ability to take and challenge a client’s brief and help them through the creative process
  • Previous experience with a Banking or Finance brand is optional but good to have.

  • Ability to combine and translate complex material from different sources and contexts into stories and content that engage and resonate with target audiences
  • Confident presenting and communicating clearly to other team members and clients.
  • Understanding of how to integrate with a client-side team whilst maintaining a top tier agency service.
  • Experience of working closely with client and be confident presenting to the client
  • To be self-motivated, working with little supervision
  • Relevant knowledge across social, production, print and digital
  • Awareness of emerging trends in design and the digital landscape
  • Good time management skills
  • Confident and articulate, with the ability to voice and share ideas and opinions both internally and with clients.
  • Great team player with a client-centric focus and possess the ability to build strong and effective working relationships
  • The drive to actively seek out opportunities for the account
  • Confident in your own abilities and be able to proactively influence clients and manage their expectations.
  • Strong communication skills and ensure that internal processes are maintained and improved.
  • To combine an authoritative voice and consumer education with comprehensive marketing integration. 
  • Passion for and inquisitive about AI and new technologies
  • Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial, but ability to learn and digest benefits and features of AI tools is critical
