Job Description
We are advancing connected technologies and autonomous driving technologies that connect with the cloud and smartphones to provide more convenient and safer services to customers using automobiles. This will be carried out amidst the evolution of vehicles as SDVs and their surrounding systems, and you will play an important role in formulating future strategies and designing components for connected car devices that realize this. You will also be involved in the development of Telematics Control Units (TCU) that connect to the outside of the vehicle, realizing advanced in-vehicle services and autonomous driving using communication technology.
Main functions of TCU
- Remote Actuator: Start air conditioning or lock doors wirelessly from the customer's smartphone.
- Stolen Vehicle Tracking: Locate the vehicle using GPS and utilize it for anti-theft measures.
- Driving Support Linkage: Link with navigation and traffic information to support driving.
- Wi-Fi Hotspot Function: Transform the vehicle interior into a Wi-Fi space connected to the internet.
- Emergency Call Function: Automatically make emergency calls in the event of a car accident to assist rescue operations.
- OTA Update: Update software wirelessly to improve functions and fix bugs.
- Automatic Map Data Update: Provide the latest navigation information in real-time.
- Remote Diagnosis: Remotely check vehicle status to enable preventive maintenance and early response.
- Vehicle Information Provision Service: Visualize information such as driving history, fuel efficiency, and vehicle status.
Specific Job Details
You will be assigned to one of the following responsibilities:
- Product design of IVC (In Vehicle Connectivity) based on service requirements and system requirements.
- Advanced development of next-generation mobile communication technologies represented by V2X and satellite communication.
- Communication specification development with mobile carriers.
- Antenna development for 4G/5G, GNSS, FM/AM, satellite radio, etc.
- Productivity, function/performance/reliability evaluation.
- Cross-sectional management tasks such as human resources, equipment, and budget.

This department has a team of 300 people, with each section having about 20 members, and a high ratio of mid-career hires. It handles both mass production development and advanced development, and the workplace has an active discussion atmosphere. Salary Range
- Monthly salary (reference value): 323,000 JPY - 439,000 JPY

- Estimated annual income (reference value): Approximately 5,900,000 JPY - 7,800,000 JPY
