Job Description

As a Customer Solutions Consultant, you'll collaborate with sales teams to showcase Google Cloud's capabilities to clients. This involves understanding customer needs, developing cloud solutions, conducting proof-of-concepts, and addressing technical challenges. You'll present solutions to both technical and executive stakeholders, leveraging your expertise in infrastructure modernization. Responsibilities include identifying business opportunities, resolving technical objections, supporting bid responses, and collaborating with product management. You'll guide customers through application environment assessments and provide modernization roadmaps, recommending appropriate strategies and architectures for Google Cloud implementation.

  • Security concepts (encryption, IAM, etc.)
  • Prospecting and relationship building skills
Must Have:
  • 6+ years cloud native architecture experience
  • Experience with cloud/on-premise infrastructure
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Technical problem-solving expertise
  • Application migration experience (preferred)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure engineering, on-premise infrastructure engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
  • Experience with networking concepts such as software-defined networking, routing, virtual private networks, load balancers and firewalls.
  • Experience with security concepts such as encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, and pen testing.
  • Experience in, or supporting Financial Services (FSI) industry.
  • Experience prospecting, and building and maintaining customer relationships from scratch.
  • Passion for building greenfield territories in enterprise accounts.

As a Customer Solutions Consultant, you will partner with technical sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud to our customers. You will help prospective and existing customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business issues, engage in proof-of-concepts, and troubleshoot any technical questions and roadblocks. You will use your expertise and presentation skills to engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and persuasively present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
  • Share in-depth enterprise infrastructure modernization expertise to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnering directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
  • Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
  • Guide customers through assessments of existing legacy application environments and provide recommendations on a prioritization roadmap for infrastructure and application modernization.
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to implement a complete solution on Google Cloud.
