Job Description

Metacore is seeking a Data Analyst to join their team in Helsinki, Finland, or Berlin, Germany. The role involves making in-depth analyses about their hit game Merge Mansion, presenting findings to stakeholders, and optimizing the player journey through data-driven operations. The analyst will support product managers and designers, derive insights from data, proactively analyze game data for improvements, design and evaluate experiments, and drive decision-making through statistical modeling and presentations.
Must have:
  • Support product managers and designers in their day-to-day needs.
  • Derive insights from data through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Proactively analyze game data to seek opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Design and evaluate experiments to drive actionable insights for the game.
  • Drive decision-making through in-depth statistical modeling, analysis, and presentations.
  • Promote best practices to elevate the data team’s success.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, version-controlled tools, and reports.
  • Design analytics tracking events to better understand players and features.
  • Collaborate with the data engineering team to design data pipelines when needed.
  • Prior experience as an analyst in the F2P gaming industry.
  • Proficiency in SQL and in a scripting language like Python or R.
  • Hands-on experience with data modeling and cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift.
  • Practical knowledge of BI tools such as Looker, Qlick, Tableau or similar.
  • Solid understanding of industry-standard statistical analyses like A/B testing.
Good to have:
  • Experience in applying data science methods from concept to production.
  • Practical knowledge in metrics/semantic-layer and or dbt.
  • Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Engineering.

Now, we are looking for a Data Analyst to make in-depth analyses about Merge Mansion and present findings to a wide range of different stakeholders. Your role will be to help us make our much-loved hit game even better by optimizing the player journey by retaining, re-engaging, and monetizing users through highly targeted, data-driven operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support product managers and designers in their day-to-day needs.
  • Derive insights from data through quantitative and qualitative analysis, ideation, and monitoring the impact of product decisions.
  • Proactively analyze game data to seek opportunities for improvement and growth, guiding game design and monetization strategies.
  • Design and evaluate experiments to drive actionable insights for the game.
  • Drive decision-making through in-depth statistical modeling, analysis, and presentations for both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Promote best practices to elevate the data team’s success.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, version-controlled tools, and reports.
  • Design analytics tracking events to better understand players and features.
  • Collaborate with the data engineering team to design data pipelines when needed.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as an analyst in the F2P gaming industry.
