Job Description

The Yield Book, a subsidiary of LSEG, is seeking a Data Analytics Analyst in Buffalo, NY. This role involves setting up and maintaining Residential Mortgage Backed Securities (RMBS) and Asset Backed Securities (ABS), collecting mortgage data, and assisting senior analysts with cash flow modeling and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, be detail-oriented, and proficient in mathematical concepts. Required skills include experience with PC/Unix, Python, and relational databases, alongside strong communication and organizational abilities. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a STEM field is necessary.

Must Have:
  • Input and set up mortgage and asset backed securities.
  • Collect mortgage data from a variety of written and electronic sources using proprietary software tools.
  • Update and maintain mortgage backed securities monthly.
  • Assist senior analysts in Mortgage-backed and Asset-backed securities cash flow modeling and analysis.
  • Oral and written communication with Trustees and Underwriters.
  • Work on special projects to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with global Yield Book and Fixed Income staff.
  • Proficient with mathematical concepts.
  • Detail-orientated and exhibit a high degree of accuracy in work.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience working with PC’s or Unix workstations.

Responsibilities

The Yield Book team is looking to hire a data analyst to set up and maintain Residential Mortgage Backed Securities (RMBS, agency and non-agency) and Asset Backed Securities (ABS). We are looking for someone who is motivated and driven. Strong analytical background is needed for the job. Willingness to learn is highly important for this position.

Compensation/Benefits Information:

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $67,600 - $112,800.

Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/”bonus plan”). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
