The Data Architect will lead the design and implementation of data architecture and models for financial enterprise-level subject areas, aligning with global standards. This role involves planning technical blueprints for data lakes, warehouses, graph databases, and real-time streaming platforms, emphasizing "data as a product." Responsibilities include ETL/ELT, performance tuning, and writing high-quality code. The architect will also lead consulting projects and explore cutting-edge data technologies. Candidates need a bachelor's degree, 8+ years of industry experience (5+ in data architecture/modeling), proficiency in various data modeling techniques, SQL, Python, and big data tools. Bilingual fluency in Chinese and English is required.
Must have:
  • Lead the data architecture and data model design for financial enterprise-level subject areas, ensuring alignment with global reference models.
  • Plan the overall technical blueprint for data lakes, data warehouses, graph databases, and real-time streaming data platforms, promoting "data as a product."
  • Use DataWorks, Hive/Spark/Hadoop, and graph databases to complete model materialization, ETL/ELT, and performance tuning; write high-quality SQL, Python code, and automated testing scripts.
  • Lead or participate in data architecture consulting projects, outputting blueprint designs, implementation roadmaps, and ROI evaluation reports.
  • Stay abreast of data architecture frontiers, rapidly prototype new technologies and introduce them into production.
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with DataWorks / MaxCompute ecosystem
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB/ES) and graph databases (Neo4j/JanusGraph/Nebula)
  • Experience in pre-sales/consulting presentations

Responsibilities

  • Lead the data architecture and data model design for financial enterprise-level subject areas (risk, rating, customer, participant, transaction, etc.), ensuring alignment with global reference models (Universal Entity Model, Hierarchy & Link Model).
  • Based on Data Mesh / Lakehouse concepts, plan the overall technical blueprint for data lakes, data warehouses, graph databases, and real-time streaming data platforms, promoting the implementation of "data as a product."
  • Use DataWorks, Hive/Spark/Hadoop, and graph databases (Neo4j/JanusGraph) to complete model materialization, ETL/ELT, and performance tuning; write high-quality SQL, Python code, and automated testing scripts.
  • Lead or participate in data architecture consulting projects (DD/evaluation/transformation planning), outputting blueprint designs, implementation roadmaps, and ROI evaluation reports.
  • Stay abreast of data architecture frontiers (Data Fabric, graph neural networks, privacy computing), rapidly prototype new technologies and introduce them into production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • 8+ years of industry experience, including 5+ years of data architecture or data modeling experience.
  • Proficient in relational modeling (3NF, Data Vault, Anchor), dimensional modeling (Kimball), and NoSQL/graph data modeling; familiar with financial industry enterprise subject models (IBM FSDM, Teradata FS-LDM or similar).
  • Proficient in using at least one mainstream data modeling tool (Erwin, PowerDesigner, ER/Studio, etc.) and version control (Git).
  • Proficient in SQL tuning, skilled in using Python for data processing; practical experience in Hive/Spark/Hadoop big data development; familiarity with DataWorks / MaxCompute ecosystem is a plus.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB/ES) and graph databases (Neo4j/JanusGraph/Nebula) is a plus.
  • Excellent business abstraction ability, able to quickly understand complex financial business scenarios and translate regulatory, risk control, and marketing requirements into data model requirements.
  • Fluent in both Chinese and English, able to communicate seamlessly with global product and APAC clients; experience in pre-sales/consulting presentations is a plus.
  • Experience in cross-timezone team collaboration, skilled at driving the implementation of technical and governance standards through influence.
