Job Description

As a Data Scientist I at MiQ, you will build end-to-end data-driven, AI/ML, and statistics-based Ad-Tech solutions to position MiQ as a leading programmatic partner. You will research cutting-edge AI techniques, focus on scalable ML/AI solutions, and drive innovation through white papers and conferences. This role contributes significantly to MiQ’s revenue and gross profit by enabling internal stakeholders to discover audience insights, optimize digital advertising campaigns, and measure their success.
Must have:
  • Experience in applying machine learning, statistical pattern recognition, and data mining algorithms to predict
  • Strong Experience with at-least one programming language - e.g. Java, Python, R
  • Strong experience with advanced SQL and good experience in big data ecosystem - Hive/Pig/MapReduce, Spark
  • Write optimized and advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets
  • Translate mathematical concepts (linear algebra, probability, optimization) into practical model implementations

What you’ll do

As a Data scientist I in our data science department, you’ll have the chance to:

  • Build an end-to-end data-driven / AI / ML / Statistics based Ad-Tech solutions that positions MiQ as the leading programmatic partner for advertisers across the lifecycle of a marketing campaign
  • Look for opportunities to build solutions that would differentiate MiQ from competitors by researching cutting edge AI techniques and technologies
  • Focus on ML/AI solutions that scale - from tech as well as functional point of view
  • Bring innovation and research to focus internally and externally, through submitting white papers, representing MiQ and presenting at conferences, participating in hackathons etc.

Who are your stakeholders?

The Data Scientist’s internal customers / stakeholders include:

  • Account Managers / Traders / Sales / Analysts: The Data Scientist builds solutions that are used primarily by these internal customers through MiQ proprietary platforms like Lab and The data scientist usually does not directly collaborate with these customers and the market requirements and solution feedback is through Product Management team
  • Product Management: The Data Scientist builds solutions prioritized as part of the Product roadmap

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in applying machine learning, statistical pattern recognition, and data mining algorithms to predict

  • Strong experience with advanced SQL and good experience in big data ecosystem - Hive/Pig/MapReduce, Spark

  • Extreme attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and priorities

What impact will you create?

By building an end-to-end data-driven, you’ll contributes to MiQ’s Revenue and Gross Profit. You also build generalised Product features that enable key internal stakeholders to discover right audience insights, setup and optimise digital advertising campaigns, and measure the success of these campaigns. You will always develop best practices and handle the transition solutions smoothly to production and host on MiQ’s proprietary platforms.
