Job Summary

Job Description

Insider, a B2B SaaS company, is seeking a Deal Desk professional, ideally a fresh graduate, to join their Revenue Operations team. This role involves serving as a Go-To-Market Subject Matter Expert, assisting the Sales Team with complex deals by structuring non-standard order forms and providing pricing guidance. The Deal Desk professional will also educate and train new Sales hires on Deal Desk operations and best practices, review and validate deals for accuracy in contract terms, billing, and pricing, and ensure alignment with CRM systems. A key responsibility is driving process improvement in Deal Desk operations and collaborating with departments like Finance and Legal to facilitate the end-to-end deal process, ensuring compliance and thorough documentation.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Internship experience in Revenue Operations, Business Insights & Analytics, or Finance
  • Expertise in Enterprise Planning, Sales Productivity, or Sales Enablement
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Salesforce
  • Ability to conduct complex data analysis and present findings
  • Demonstrated ability to implement sales processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent cross-group collaboration skills

As a Deal Desk in Insider day in and day out you will

    • GTM Subject Matter Expert:
    • Serve as a trusted advisor on Revenue Operations and Deal Desk processes.
      Share best practices and insights related to systems, workflows, and deal management.
    • Support Sales with Complex Deals:
    • Assist the Sales Team in structuring non-standard or complex order forms.
      Provide ad-hoc pricing guidance when necessary to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
    • Educate and Train Sales Teams:
    • Conduct training sessions for new Sales hires on Deal Desk operations, emphasizing best practices, approval workflows, and procedural guidelines.
      Continuously educate existing team members to maintain process consistency.
    • Review and Validate Deals:
    • Ensure all deals are accurate, with correct contract terms, billing details, and pricing.
      Align deal data with CRM systems to maintain data integrity and consistency.
    • Drive Process Improvement:
    • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance Deal Desk processes, tools, and automation.
      Implement improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Collaborate Cross-Functionally:
    • Partner with key departments (e.g., Finance, Legal, Operations) to understand business needs.
      Facilitate the end-to-end deal process, including deal structuring, approvals, and order management.
    • Ensure Compliance and Documentation:
    • Maintain thorough documentation of processes, approvals, and deal decisions.
      Ensure adherence to internal policies, compliance standards, and audit requirements.

    • have expert knowledge in one or more functional areas such as Enterprise Planning, Sales Productivity, and Readiness, Sales Enablement, Revenue Operations,
    • have extensive knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel,
    • have familiarity with Salesforce,
    • have the ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations,

    • have excellent written and verbal communication skills,

    • are highly organized, have multi-tasking skills, and ability to operate in ambiguous environments
