We seek enthusiastic candidates with Retail DMS or dealership experience, passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves overseeing OEM retail product installations, ensuring on-time completion, and managing communications. Consultants will facilitate user training, provide support, obtain milestone signoffs, and mitigate risks. The position requires managing multiple projects in an agile, collaborative environment, with a focus on product knowledge and fostering strong relationships with partners.
Must have:
  • Oversee and facilitate dealership user training and support through onboarding and sustainment.
  • Provide Automotive Retail Desking and Digital Retailing training to dealership staff.
  • Obtain critical milestone signoffs from key dealership contacts.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate implementation risks effectively.
  • Manage 5-8 projects concurrently.
  • Manage training and setup items, keeping detailed notes and completing checklist items.
  • Successfully complete an 8-10 week training program with strong product and process knowledge retention.
  • Sustain a positive attitude during high-stress situations with OEM, dealer partners, and internal teams.
  • Fast-learner, passionate about staying in touch with fast-changing SaaS solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of the retail automotive industry, terminology, and dealership process flows.
  • Deep understanding of Tekion products, including end-user workflows and configurations.
  • Knowledge of onboarding and sustainment processes, including adjacent internal teams' roles.
  • Represent Tekion professionally in all dealership interactions.
  • Foster relationships with OEM, dealership personnel, and stakeholders.
  • 2+ years of Retail DMS experience or equivalent in the auto industry.
  • Proven experience implementing SaaS solutions in large and small auto dealerships.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, interacting with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Ability to articulate technical jargon into consumable levels of understanding for adult learners.
  • Ability to take customer suggestions or insights and translate them into technical deliverables.

Job Description

We're looking for enthusiastic candidates with Retail DMS and/or dealership experience who love challenges, push boundaries, and are passionate about delivering awesome customer experiences. Responsible for the initial phases of an OEM retail product installation, on-time completion, and communications throughout the assigned project timeline and customer support post launch. Our transparent and collaborative culture means we work both independently and together as a team on projects in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and facilitate dealership user training and support through the onboarding lifecycle and sustainment efforts.
  • Provide Automotive Retail Desking and Digital Retailing training to automotive retail dealership staff and have fun while doing it.
  • Obtain critical milestone signoffs from key dealership contacts.
  • Proactively identify implementation risks and mitigate them effectively and efficiently.
  • Manage 5-8 projects at one time.
  • Manage training and setup items in an organized manner, keeping detailed notes, and completing all checklist items in our implementation runbook.
  • Must successfully complete an 8-10 week training program and display a strong grasp of product and process knowledge retention.
  • Demonstrated history of sustaining a positive attitude during high-stress situations with OEM, dealer partners (DP), and internal teams.
  • Fast-learner, and passionate ability to remain in-touch with fast-changing SaaS solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of the retail automotive industry, including common terminology and dealership process flows.
  • Deep understanding of Tekion products, including end-user workflows and configurations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of onboarding and sustainment processes, including adjacent internal teams' roles & responsibilities with the project.
  • Represent Tekion in a positive and professional way in all dealership interactions.
  • Foster relationships with all OEM, dealership personnel, and stakeholders.

Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years of Retail DMS experience or equivalent in the auto industry
  • Proven experience implementing SaaS solutions in large and small auto dealerships
  • Experience working in an early-stage startup environment is a plus
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, interacting with all levels of stakeholders
  • Established ability to articulate technical jargon into consumable levels of understanding for adult learners
  • Ability to take customer suggestions or insights and translate them into technical deliverables for Tekion Product & Support teams
  • 1+ years in Project Management or Project Lead role is preferred
  • Travel (flying) is less than 25%
  • Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
