Job Description

The Digital and Social Commerce Director will develop and drive Haleon's digital and social commerce strategies, establishing an enterprise winning model. This role aims to achieve sustainable business growth and continuously enhance capabilities. Key responsibilities include strategy development, performance tracking, analytics, and fostering external partnerships. The director will also focus on building future-fit digital and social commerce capabilities within the China market, incorporating the latest advancements in data and AI.
Must have:
  • Develop and drive Haleon digital and social commerce strategies with enterprise winning model establishment.
  • Drive sustainable and profitable growth (Net Sales/Profit/Share growth) through key platform strategies.
  • Work with EC heads and x-functions for monthly digital platform performance tracking, insights, and actions.
  • Embed insights into business operations to deliver associated value (Net Sales/Profit).
  • Continuously bring in external best practice and strategic moves from leading industry players.
  • Work with external digital commerce platforms to identify and execute enterprise-level growth opportunities.
  • Drive T2T enterprise partnership.
  • Identify and build fit-for-future digital & social commerce capabilities for the China market.
  • Deliver initiatives and identify resources needed, including latest capabilities on data and AI.

  • Management Trainee profile preferred
  • MBA is a plus
  • Experience in Shopper & Trade Marketing, Digital Innovation from Top CPG, FMCG and beauty industry is preferred

About the role

The role of Digital and Social Commerce Director has the responsibilities to develop and drive the Haleon digital and social commerce strategies with enterprise winning model establishment to drive sustainable business growth and continuously capability dial up.

Key responsibilities

  • Strategy and winning model development: Delivery of Digital and Social commerce strategies, including key platform strategies and enterprise winning models to drive sustainable and profitable growth (Net Sales/Profit/Share growth).
  • Monthly Tracking, analytics and action drive: Works mainly with EC heads and x-functions including category marketing heads, SMD x-functions (CBIA, Media, strategy etc.), finance, and their teams in monthly digital platform performance tracking, generating insights and ad-hoc strategic actions, embedding them in the business operations and delivering the associated value (Net Sales/Profit).
  • External best practices on radar: Continuously brings in external best practice and strategic move from leading players in the industry or winners from other leading consumer industries
  • Enterprise Partnership establish: Works with external digital commerce platforms to identify and execute enterprise level growth opportunities and drive T2T enterprise partnership.
  • Internal Capability and x-category best practise sharing locally, regionally and globally: Identify and build the fit-for-future digital & social commerce capabilities required to operate and win in the China market, Deliver the initiatives, identify the resource needed, including bringing in the latest capabilities on data and AI.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor Degree and above, Management Trainee profile preferred. MBA is a plus. Experience in Shopper & Trade Marketing, Digital Innovation from Top CPG, FMCG and beauty industry is preferred.
  • At least 12-year working experience of digital marketing and e-Commerce field in which Latest 3 years in managerial grade with direct experiences in Douyin social commerce, Rich experience across traditional Digital Commerce, Social commerce, O2O and other growing/emerging online channels.
  • Strategic thinking, excellent storytelling and problem-solving skills with logic and framework, P&L experience and financial acumen is a MUST, good at data & analytics.
  • Proven skills of stakeholder influence with excellent communication skill across matrix organizations in China local level and regional level
  • manage a high degree of complexity across diverse markets in changing environment. Ability to drive and enable change
  • Language proficiency both in English and Chinese, Good presentation in English.
