The YouVersion Director of Community Care is primarily responsible for leading the vision and strategy for caring for YouVersion users and support volunteers. This includes ensuring the team offers world-class technical and spiritual support through support volunteers, which contribute directly to the success of YouVersion’s overall KPIs. The Director is responsible for collaborating with their leader to cast vision, provide direction, and lead ministry efforts within their area of influence to outcomes that further Life.Church’s mission and reach people for Christ.

YouVersion was created by the local church in 2007 and remains a ministry of Life.Church today. At Life.Church, our mission is to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ. Our team is committed to reaching people worldwide through innovative technology. And YouVersion is one of the ways we get to do that. Life.Church is a multi-site Christian church meeting in the United States and globally at Life.Church Online.

We wholeheartedly believe a daily rhythm of seeking intimacy with God has the power to transform lives. That’s why YouVersion creates biblically-based experiences that encourage and challenge people to seek God. We hope everyone in our community is on an active journey to become who God made them to be, abiding in Him, and drawing closer every day.

What You'll Do

    • Partner with Support Operations to offer a high-level overview of feedback from the YouVersion community.
    • Monitor key data metrics and/or analytics to ensure proper detection of community and support issues.
    • Expand into additional languages as the need for new language teams arises.
    • Oversee the Community Care Volunteer Leaders in providing ongoing care and support for our volunteer team.
    • Work with staff to determine the number of volunteers required to hit KPIs.
    • Plan and execute a strategy to recruit and onboard the proper number of volunteers.
    • Set key metrics for volunteers in recruitment, retention, and satisfaction.
    • Work with the Volunteer Operations Team to ensure best practices for volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and span of care.
    • Participate and assign after-hours on-call rotation to monitor feedback and automated alerting systems to alert the appropriate teams and volunteers when urgent issues arise.
    • Conduct annual performance reviews.
    • Oversee contractor work and contracts and ensure we are stewarding budget resources.
    • Ensure KPIs are aligned with the mission and main KPIs of the organization.
    • Lead and develop staff members to execute operation objectives.
