And we’ve created a culture here that cares just as deeply about the career you’re building. Ours is a no ego culture of collaboration and innovation where those seeking their next challenge can find big opportunities and make a huge impact on the lives of all those who we protect. We don’t just want you to work here. We want you to grow and thrive here.

We’re embracing a hybrid work model that enables our teams to split their time between office and home. Hybrid for us means we expect our teams to come together in our state-of-the-art office on two core days, typically Tuesday and Wednesday, to work together in person, and teams can choose where they work for the remainder of the week. We all benefit from flexibility and get to use the best of both worlds to get our work done.

Why are we hiring?

Well, we’re growing and thriving. So, we need smart, talented, and humble people who share our values to join us as we disrupt the home security space and relentlessly pursue our mission of keeping Every Home Secure.

About the Role

As the Director of Hardware Product Management at SimpliSafe, you will play a critical leadership role in shaping the future of our hardware portfolio—with a particular focus on delivering superior safety outcomes for our customers through the combination of cutting-edge technologies and our people. You’ll own and drive the product strategy and roadmap for all core SimpliSafe devices, including our smart cameras, base stations, sensors, and user interfaces.

This is a high-impact, senior role that requires deep product management experience in consumer hardware, with a strong emphasis on innovative, purpose-built cameras. You’ll lead a team of talented product managers, work cross-functionally with engineering, design, operations, and go-to-market teams, and ensure that every product decision is grounded in customer insight and business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the long-term vision and product strategy for SimpliSafe’s hardware platform, with an emphasis on cameras and intelligent hardware experiences.
  • Lead the development and prioritization of the hardware roadmap across key product categories—cameras, sensors, base stations, keypads, and more.
  • Partner closely with hardware engineering, design, operations, and software teams to deliver innovative, high-quality products that delight customers and strengthen our security platform.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of product managers.
  • Drive go-to-market readiness in collaboration with marketing, sales, and customer support.
  • Stay ahead of industry and technology trends, with deep knowledge of the competitive landscape in connected devices and smart home security—especially in imaging and camera systems.
  • Make data-informed decisions while being comfortable making bold, strategic bets when data is ambiguous or incomplete.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product management experience in consumer electronics, with significant expertise in camera hardware design, imaging systems, and video technology.
  • 3+ years leading and developing teams of product managers.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching complex hardware products from concept through scale.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Engineering, Computer Science, or related).
  • Strong bias for action, a willingness to dive deep when needed to get things done, and demonstrated leadership skills to motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for the consumer technology and mission-driven products that improve people’s lives.
  • Highly analytical and comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment while applying experience and judgement to make decisions.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels—from technical teams to C-suite executives.
  • Why You’ll Love This Role
  • This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of home security through thoughtful, customer-focused hardware innovation. You'll work at the intersection of technology, design, and purpose—delivering peace of mind to millions of people every day.

What Values You’ll Share

  • Customer Obsessed - Building deep empathy for our customers, putting them at the core of our work, and developing strong, long-term relationships with them.
  • Aim High - Always challenging ourselves and others to raise the bar.

  • One Team - Taking a highly collaborative approach to achieving success.
  • Lift As We Climb - Investing in developing others and helping others around us succeed.
  • Lean & Nimble - Working with agility and efficiency to experiment in an often ambiguous environment.

What We Offer

  • A comprehensive total rewards package that supports your wellness and provides security for SimpliSafers and their families (For more information on our total rewards please click here)
