Must have:
  • Responsibility for program planning and development.
  • Building and expanding author and editor networks.
  • Identifying and developing promising book projects.
  • Collaborating with internal departments (production, marketing, sales).

  • Vocational training or university degree with a technical focus or equivalent industry experience.
  • Initial professional experience in publishing or editorial work.

  • Structured, independent work approach, curious about challenges.
  • Very good German language skills.
  • Proficient in English communication.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Program Planning & Development: Responsibility for the continuous continuation and expansion of the specialist book program.
  • Author Support & Acquisition: Building, maintaining, and expanding your network of authors and editors.
  • Market Analysis & Project Development: Identification and development of promising teaching and specialist book projects, considering current trends.
  • Interface Management: Close collaboration with internal departments such as production, marketing, and sales for optimal positioning of the books.

Your Profile:

  • You are enthusiastic about technology development and innovations.
  • You have vocational training or a university degree with a technical focus or equivalent experience in the industry.
  • You have already gained initial professional experience in a publishing house or an editorial office.
  • You are open, mediating, and value collaboration with authors and partners.
  • You work in a structured, independent manner and approach challenges and changes with curiosity.
  • You have very good German language skills and are proficient in English communication.
  • You look forward to occasional business trips within Germany and Austria.
