Job Description

Under limited supervision, prepare and process components of Lottery equipment. This position is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting and repair of complex electronic boards and assemblies. Key functions include troubleshooting and repairing PCBs and electronic/electro-mechanical assemblies, reviewing technical documentation like blueprints and schematics, and working with customers on hardware support. The role requires extensive knowledge of digital and analog circuitry, microprocessors, and DSP technology, along with proficiency in electronic repair, rework, and high-level soldering.
Must have:
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electronic boards and assemblies.
  • Troubleshoot and repair PCBs and electronic/electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Review blueprints, BOM's, wiring schematics, and circuit board assembly documentation.
  • Work with employees/customers for hardware support, repairs, and training.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of digital and analog circuitry, microprocessors, and DSP technology.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, test instructions, and complex schematic drawings.
  • Associate degree in electronics or equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ years of related work experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing circuit boards to a component level, including motherboards.
  • Proficient in electronic repair and rework.
  • High-level soldering skill.
  • Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office and Windows).
Good to have:
  • Electronic rework certification
  • Bachelor's degree in electronics or related field

Job Functions:

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair of PCBs and electronic/electro-mechanical assemblies
  • The Electronic Repair Technician IV is responsible for troubleshooting and repair of printed circuit boards with a focus on complex circuits and motherboards.
  • This position will review blueprints, BOM's, wiring schematics and circuit board assembly documentation.
  • Ability to work with employees / customers as it relates to hardware support, repairs and training.
  • Extensive knowledge of digital and analog circuitry, microprocessors and DSP technology
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, test instructions and complex schematic drawings
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in electronics or equivalent work experience
  • 6+ years of related work experience
  • Previous experience troubleshooting and repairing circuit boards or electronic assemblies to a component level including motherboards.
  • Proficient at electronic repair and rework. High level soldering skill required. (Electronic rework certification a plus)
  • Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office and Windows)

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to train and become certified in IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies and IPC-A-7711/7721 Rework, Modification and Repair of Electronic Assemblies
  • Proficient in use of electronic test equipment. Such as oscilloscope, DMM, trackers and signal generators
  • Extensive repair knowledge including BGA, and experience across a broad range of electronic products and repair scenarios required
  • Ability to perform root-cause failure analysis and generate corrective actions
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and objectives with limited supervision
  • Must be able to lift and move at least 45 pounds
  • Ability to communicate in verbal and written communication with peers and leadership
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to provide courteous and timely service to internal/external customers

Qualifications

Education

Associate's or equivalent degree in electronics or related field is required. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
