Qualcomm is seeking an experienced Customer Engineering Account Manager to lead complex automotive programs. This role involves tracking customer project milestones, managing issues, and communicating status to both customers and internal teams. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, quality, product management, and sales to ensure successful project execution, acting as the final escalation point for all regions and managing supplier relationships.
Must have:
  • Drive the execution of complex, multidisciplinary automotive programs with Qualcomm customers.
  • Track Customer Project Milestones, SOP Schedules, FROP, Upgrade Schedules, Documentation.
  • Collect, prioritize, track, and drive customer-reported issues to resolution/closure.
  • Correctly represent the urgency of issues and raise them (internally and/or externally) as appropriate.
  • Clearly and thoughtfully communicate issue status to the customer and to internal senior executive teams.
  • Regularly communicate executive level program report status and key issues to management.
  • Work closely with engineering, Quality, product management, and sales teams to resolve technical and logistical issues.
  • Set correct expectations and keep the scope of the projects on a track to successful execution.
  • Be the Final CE Final Escalation Point for all regions.
  • Manage Qualcomm identified Suppliers, partner organizations that work with OEMs/Tier1s.
  • BS/MS Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 13+ years in the embedded domain with experience in heterogeneous compute platforms consisting of ARMs, GPUs, DSPs.
  • Experience in managing customers across automotive programs in Technical Account management roles.
  • Good understanding of Embedded Software architecture, Design for various firmware and embedded system limitations.
  • Good understanding of Linux kernel internals, scheduling, performance, scalability and resiliency requirements for firmware running on embedded devices.
  • Good understanding of hypervisor and its usage in automotive embedded systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • 3+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python.
Good to have:
  • Hands-on Experience in design, development and software solutions on multi-core ARM/CPUs.
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills.

General Summary:

  • Qualcomm is looking for an experienced Customer Engineering Account Manager to drive the execution of complex, multidisciplinary automotive programs with Qualcomm customers.

Needed for this Role:

BS/MS Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.

13+ years in the embedded domain with experience in heterogeneous compute platforms consisting of ARMs, GPUs, DSPs.
