What you’d be doing in this role As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve. At the moment, this role is focused on: * Leading and coaching a motivated full stack team of 5–8 engineers * Owning the breakdown and delivery of large, impactful projects * Mentoring engineers on technical approaches and career growth * Building out long-term technical strategy for Settings product capabilities * Managing operational health of services – including on-call as part of a team rotation * Collaborating cross-functionally with PMs, Designers, and non-technical stakeholders * Championing a culture of feedback, inclusive collaboration, and continual improvement You're probably a match if * You’ve led high-performing software engineering teams before * You bring a healthy blend of technical depth, delivery leadership, and people development * Technical hands on experience in our tech stack - Java for the backend and Javascript/Typescript/React on the frontend. A blend of these would be ideal. * You have strong customer empathy and experience building user-centric products * You thrive in cross-functional collaboration and influencing stakeholders * You lead by example and foster psychological safety and open communication About the team The Admin Experience Group within the Teams & Education Supergroup is on a mission to revolutionise how large teams utilise and administer Canva.
