Job Description

This Engineering Manager role focuses on building a new platform for customer capacity experience at Google. Responsibilities include providing technical leadership across engineering teams, defining and communicating team goals and roadmaps, collaborating across functions, coaching and mentoring engineers, and contributing technical expertise throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate possesses 8+ years of software development experience (including Java, Python, Go, C++, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS), 3+ years of technical leadership, and 2+ years of people management. Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
  • 3 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in capacity planning and management.
  • Experience leading and growing medium-to-large engineering teams.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages, distributed systems, and reliable systems/cloud services.
  • Passionate about delivering impact in an enterprise-facing and customer-facing environment.
