Job Description

Entrata, a global leader in property management software, is seeking an Engineering Manager for its high-impact ELI+ team. This role involves shaping technical direction, mentoring engineers, and delivering core products for leasing, insurance, and resident experiences. The manager will drive architectural decisions, ensure code quality, define roadmaps with product/UX partners, oversee production systems, and instill strong engineering practices to make a visible impact on millions of users worldwide.
Must have:

  • Oversee production systems health with DevOps.
  • Instill strong engineering practices (design, testing, code reviews, agile).
  • Lead hiring for a world-class engineering team.
  • Minimum 3 years of engineering management experience.
  • Experience with AI-powered development tools (e.g., Copilot).
  • Track record shipping/operating cloud-based software at scale.
  • Strong technical foundation in modern architectures (microservices, event-driven).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Empathic, mentorship-focused leadership style.
Good to have:
  • Experience in SaaS, fintech, or enterprise platforms.
  • Background in building large-scale customer-facing applications.
  • Familiarity with leasing, insurance, or payments platforms.
  • Previous experience leading distributed/global engineering teams.

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead this high-impact team. In this role, you will shape the technical direction of ELI+, mentor and grow engineering talent, and deliver products that are core to Entrata’s success. You’ll work closely with product, design, and operations leaders to ensure we’re solving the right problems with scalable, elegant solutions.

This is a unique opportunity to lead one of Entrata’s flagship product teams and make a visible impact on the lives of property owners, managers, and residents.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor engineers, provide career development, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Drive architectural decisions and ensure high standards of code quality, scalability, and reliability.
  • Work with Product and UX partners to define roadmaps, prioritize work, and launch new features for the ELI+ suite.
  • Oversee the health of production systems, partnering with DevOps to keep services performant and reliable.
  • Instill strong engineering practices across design, testing, code reviews, and agile development.
  • Play a key role in hiring and building a world-class engineering team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience managing engineers in a product-focused environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in the adoption and effective use of AI-powered development tools (e.g., Cursor AI, GitHub Copilot, Tabnine) to accelerate code generation, improve refactoring and debugging, and drive overall engineering efficiency.
  • Proven track record leading teams that ship and operate cloud-based software at scale.
  • Strong technical foundation with knowledge of modern architectures (e.g., microservices, event-driven systems) and the software development lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to align technical execution to business goals.
  • A leadership style that emphasizes empathy, mentorship, and empowering others to succeed.
