Day To Day
- Oversee the front reception desk, proactively addressing security concerns and unwanted visitor situations with diplomacy and tact to ensure a safe environment for staff.
- Help manage building access for visitors and staff
- Maintain and update vendor and contractor logs
- Monitor and verify vendor service visits, ensuring work is completed per contract
- Collect and submit invoices for Facilities Manager review
- Keep accurate inventory of supplies, track and restock office and kitchen supplies
- Lead the company’s Safety Committee, organizing quarterly meetings and maintaining documentation
- Support OSHA compliance and maintain safety training records (with online coursework provided)
- Assist in emergency preparedness planning and violence prevention protocols
- Assist with set-up and tear-down for company events, both onsite and offsite
- Coordinate catering for meetings and events
- Assisting with workstation setup as needed
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Must Haves
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk throughout the day, and complete physically demanding tasks
- Prior building maintenance or maintenance/repair experience
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude
- Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively with staff and vendors
- Experience with MS Office suite; email, basic spreadsheets, and inventory tracking
- Valid driver’s license (may be required for offsite errands or events)
Nice-To-Have Skills
- Familiarity with OSHA safety practices or coursework (training provided)
- Interest in developing skills in building management or safety compliance
