Job Description

As a Finance Analyst at Aptiv, you will be responsible for preparing P&L and balance sheet reports, participating in financial data analysis, and leading budget and forecast preparation. You will also handle month/quarter/year-end closing processes, liaise with centralized teams, prepare financial entries, and address ad hoc requests from management. This role involves maintaining financial process documentation, participating in process streamlining, preparing audit samples, and managing asset and construction work in progress. You will communicate issues and seek solutions, working in a dynamic environment focused on achieving zero road injuries and fatalities. You must be able to work under pressure and adhere to tight timelines.
Must Have:
  • Master's degree in Finance or a quantitative science
  • Minimum of 1 year of cost controlling experience
  • Understanding of basic financial processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good command of the English language.

Your Role

  • Prepare P&L and balance sheet reports for the area in scope
  • Participate in financial data collection, analysis, and variance explanation
  • Address global and regional FP&A reporting requests
  • Lead the process of budget, forecast and actual best estimate preparation for the area in scope
  • Perform timely month/quarter/year-end close processes
  • Liaise with centralized teams in GBS (RTR, PTP, OTC) and act as a main point of contact for regular cases
  • Prepare financial entries
  • Compile data and address ad hoc requests from management
  • Maintain and update financial process documentation
  • Participate in the initiatives of process streamlining and automation
  • Prepare audit samples and other documentation required by audit
  • Manage asset and construction work in progress related processes
  • Communicate issues, seek for solutions

Your Background

  • Master degree in Finance or other quantitative science
  • Minimum 1 year of experience and knowledge of cost controlling
  • Understanding of basic financial processes and their purpose
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good command of English, both verbal and written
  • Able to prepare decisions independently with appropriate level of consultation/communication
  • Tolerance to stress and management of ambiguity
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines
