Job Description

The Financial Controller will work closely with the CFO to execute and improve the company’s financial processes, managing the day-to-day financial operations. Responsibilities include preparing partner, financial, and board reports, and cash flow analysis. The role also involves overseeing accounting, including consolidated reporting, budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, financial statements, analysis, forecasting, cash flow management, payroll, pensions, insurance, audits, and tax preparation. The position requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for accounting and process improvement, supporting a growing, listed company. It is a temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of accounting experience or from an accounting/audit firm
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to details and a mindset of continual improvements
  • Accounting degree
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable with modern financial platforms and tooling
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
Good to have:
  • Experience from Fortnox
  • Experience from setting up and using BI tools
  • Experience with accounting principles under K3 and IFRS
  • Experience working in the video games industry

Job Description: 

Financial Controller (1 year temporary position with possibility for permanent thereafter). 

We are looking for a person that has an attention to details, has a passion for accounting and improving finance processes and wants to be a cornerstone of the finance team for a listed and growing company.  

The Financial Controller will work closely with the CFO to execute and improve the company’s financial processes. The Financial Controller is responsible for the company's day-to-day financial operations. This includes preparing partner reports, financial reports, and board reports as well as preparing cash flow analysis and overseeing the company's accounting and month-end process, that currently is outsourced. 

The position has a hybrid work location.  

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the CFO to execute and improve the company's financial processes

  • Support in managing vendors involved in our finance operations

  • Prepare financial reporting to the board, management and partners

  • Prepare the Quarterly and Annual reports

  • Support the CFO to oversee the company's accounting, including:
    • Consolidated company reporting

    • Preparing and managing the annual budget

    • Managing accounts payable and receivable

    • Preparing financial statements

    • Conducting financial analysis and forecasting

    • Managing cash flow and investments

    • Managing payroll, pensions and insurance

    • Managing audits as the main lead working with auditors

    • Tax preparation

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience from an accounting role, or from an accounting/ audit firm 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Attention to details and a mindset of continual improvements 

  • Accounting degree

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Comfortable with modern financial platforms and tooling

  • Fluent in Swedish and English


Additional Pluses:

  • Experience from Fortnox

  • Experience from setting up and using BI tools

  • Experience with accounting principles under K3 and IFRS.

  • Experience working in the video games or adjacent industries with respect to understanding the entertainment industry's financial reporting requirements and revenue flows.
