Financial Data Associate - Risk & Performance

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and analytical Market Data Analyst to join our Risk and Performance Product Group. This role will focus on evaluating and enhancing market data performance metrics and will play a critical role in driving the success of our analytics offerings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance and data analysis, with the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and interpret large sets of market data to support the risk and performance product group in delivering high-quality analytics.
• Build test cases, prepare data for test cases, and test models for valuation and performance analytics.
• Develop and maintain performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate product effectiveness and market trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and client services, to ensure alignment on market data needs and product enhancements.
• Produce regular reports and dashboards to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Assist in the design and implementation of new analytics features, ensuring they meet client requirements and market demands.
• Monitor and validate the quality of market data received and utilized for performance analysis, identifying anomalies and providing solutions.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, tools, and best practices to continually enhance data analysis methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience (3+ years) as a market data analyst, financial analyst, or similar role, preferably within the financial services or investment industry.
• Strong understanding of risk and performance metrics, investment products, and market data sources.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create actionable insights and reports.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
