FinOps Manager - Modelling & Insights

• Blue Yonder is seeking a highly skilled and experienced FinOps Manager specialized in financial analysis and modelling to join our team. In this role, you will lead efforts to manage and analyze cloud usage data, build models to support cost optimization initiatives, and provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modelling and advanced analytics techniques, with proficiency in Advanced Excel, SQL, Python, and Power BI. Azure cost management experience is a plus.

Scope:

• Core responsibilities to include designing and developing insights, models and dashboards to support cloud cost optimization initiatives.

Our current technical environment:

• Cost Optimization of Azure, Snowflake, SQL costs
• Expertise is Excel & Power BI

What you’ll do:

• Manage Azure usage details and monitoring metrics to optimize cloud expenditures and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Lead analytics projects related to infrastructure cost optimization, leveraging Azure usage data and other relevant sources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope and develop analytics solutions.
• Utilize advanced analytics techniques to identify trends, patterns and anomalies in Azure usage data.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders for improving cost efficiency and optimizing cloud resources.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Azure usage and cost optimization efforts.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in FinOps and cloud cost management.

What we are looking for:

• Education:  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: 7+ years of experience in analytics, finance, or a related field, with a focus on cloud cost management. Previous experience managing Azure usage details and monitoring metrics is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in analytics tools and languages such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Python and Power BI. Experience with Azure analytics services (e.g., Azure Monitor, Azure Cost Management) is highly desirable.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets and communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Project Management: Demonstrated experience leading analytics projects from conception to implementation, including project planning, execution, and stakeholder management.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
