We are looking for a talented Game Designer to join a new hybrid-casual team. We will combine the speed of hyper-casual with the depth of meta, live-ops, and monetization. Your role will involve close interaction with the project producer, as well as other team members, for describing, implementing, and analyzing game features in accordance with the overall project vision.
Main tasks:
- Concept & core-loop. Generate and describe ideas for levels, mechanics, economy, and live-ops events
- Prototyping. Together with the dev team, build and iterate "grey-box" in Unity, place timings, balances
- Documentation. Create GDDs, flowcharts, UI-wireframes and update them as the project develops
- Analytics & optimization. Read metrics, formulate hypotheses for KPI growth, improve economy and monetization
- Cross-functional interaction. Daily interaction with the team - producer, artists, developers, and UA manager
Required experience and skills:
- 2–4 years as a Game Designer in mobile F2P (casual / hybrid-casual)
- Practical experience in developing core and meta-mechanics, balancing economy, experience launching live-ops
- At least one successful CPI-prototype / casual game
- Sufficient proficiency in Unity for rapid prototyping, basic level design, and feature integration as needed
- Google Sheets for quick tuning: formulas, balance tables, economy-sink/source
- Understanding of KPIs and ability to translate them into design solutions
- Knowledge of monetization principles with advertising and IAP models
- Teamwork, ability to clearly present ideas
- Genuine passion for the casual and hybrid-casual games market, up-to-date understanding of trends
Will be a plus:
- Launching a hybrid project in soft-launch or beyond
- Experience setting up A/B tests in Firebase Remote Config or similar tools
- Using AI tools for mockups and texts
