Job Description

As the Baseball HQA Coordinator, you'll be crucial for new installations and maintenance of baseball tracking and SMART Replay systems. Responsibilities include coordinating on-site installations, resolving hardware issues, establishing quality benchmarks, collaborating with the accounts team, maintaining installation documentation, executing hardware processes (including RMA tracking), reviewing reports, identifying process gaps, collaborating in daily analysis meetings, prioritizing tasks, and leading conversations with contractors. You'll ensure high client satisfaction and contribute to Hawk-Eye's leadership in sports technology. Frequent travel is required.

📍Location: Based in Atlanta, GA with frequent travel

As the Baseball HQA Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in new installations of Baseball tracking and SMART Replay systems and maintaining the optimal health of existing systems. Daily responsibilities include communicating with Major League Baseball and franchise affiliate representatives, responding to our internal Baseball HQA staff priorities, and assisting service delivery that exceeds client expectations.

What You'll Be Doing💼

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation (Installs and Events)

    • Coordinate onsite baseball-specific system installations.

    • Respond to and resolve complex hardware issues during or post-implementation, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.

    • Skillfully diagnose and resolve hardware and system issues, offering effective solutions and product configurations.

    • Establish and maintain quality benchmarks, strategies, and methodologies tailored for baseball system installations.

    • Collaborate closely with the baseball accounts team to synchronize project deliverables with external contractors and temporary personnel throughout the installation process.

    • Provide valuable insights and recommendations for ongoing hardware  and installation enhancements.

  • Management of existing systems

    • Maintain updated documentation for all installations, including Operations Documents, Scope of Works, System Schematics and Diagrams, and Networking Requirements.

    • Execute established processes for hardware that includes initial investigation by the operations department, root cause analysis by the Hardware team in Atlanta, and full RMA tracking.

Ongoing Responsibilities:

  • Review of End of Game Reports / ClickUp Dashboards

    • Actioning and prioritizing hardware-specific items

    • Identify gaps within reporting  & HQA processes that could be improved. Work with HQA Lead to find potential solutions

    • Collaborate within daily Hardware route cause analysis meetings

      • Internal 

        • Overview of the week’s deliveries

        • Help prioritize actionable items within the team

        • Push and Improve standards

      • External

        • Leading conversations with Team’s contractors to resolve hardware issues remotely

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience working within sports technology or other professional sports organizations.

  • Familiarity with video and data tracking systems, camera setups, and broadcast technologies.

  • Experience with ticketing and project management tools (e.g., ClickUp, Jira, Trello).

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, working closely with engineering, operations, and client teams to align on technical and operational goals.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and build trust with clients.

  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and delivering high-quality solutions under pressure.

  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including internationally, and to work non-standard hours during installations and live events.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing frameworks, and quality control processes.

  • Basic understanding of data analysis tools and techniques for system performance evaluation.

  • Technical knowledge and understanding in hardware systems, networking, and system integration, with an understanding of troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques.

  • Experience in hardware quality assurance and systems implementation, ideally within a sports technology or similar fast-paced, client-facing environment.
