Job Description

Responsible for develops and manages strategic relationships with external organizations to achieve mutual revenue goals, identifying opportunities, negotiating agreements, and ensuring successful collaborations. Working with other teams in the business (sales, product, marketing, and development teams) to identify revenue generating opportunities where partnering would be more productive as a way to generate revenues and growth. The focus of this role is not enhancing the product set for Cubic, it is generating new revenues through relationships. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority. The role will require both domestic and international travel.
Must have:
  • Develop and own the partnership strategy for generating shared revenues, bookings, and profits.
  • Identify and evaluate potential partners aligning with company objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, fostering trust and communication.
  • Negotiate and implement partnership terms, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Own achievement of revenue and booking targets up to $100m per annum.
  • Develop and implement strategies to leverage partnerships for revenue growth.
  • Monitor and evaluate partnership performance against set targets.
  • Represent the company at events and conferences to build brand awareness.
  • Act as a bridge between the company and partners, ensuring smooth collaboration.
  • Identify and resolve potential issues within partnerships.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Develop a scalable model for formalizing partnerships.
  • Ensure partnerships deliver on promises to customers.
  • Maintain CRM administration discipline (Salesforce) for accurate reporting and forecasting.
  • Oversee timely production of quality written submissions for pre-qualification and tenders.
  • Ensure solutions and product teams access clients and market influencers.
  • Improve competitive position by recommending new system applications and assisting in program planning.
  • Develop strategic business and political relationships with authorities and leaders.
  • Build relationships with industry ecosystem players, including competitors.
  • Support the Chief Growth Officer in delivering strategic business goals.
Good to have:
  • Prior experience of working with private equity desired but not essential.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own the partnership strategy for the business focused on generating shared revenues, bookings and profits.
  • Identify and Evaluate Potential Partners: Research and identify organizations that align with the company's objectives and could benefit from a partnership.
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with partners, fostering trust and open communication.
  • Negotiate and Implement Agreements: Negotiate partnership terms and conditions, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Own achievement of revenue and booking targets of up to $100m per annum
  • Developing and Implementing Partnership Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to leverage partnerships and achieve revenue growth beyond where we might get to if we acted alone and also achieve other business goals.
  • Monitor and Evaluate Partnership Performance as part of the partnership target set at the start of the year: Track and analyze partnership performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Represent the Company: Represent the company at events, conferences, and meetings to build brand awareness and attract new partnerships.
  • Act as a bridge between the company and its partners, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
  • Identify and resolve potential issues that arise within partnerships, ensuring both parties remain satisfied.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Develop a scalable model for formalizing partnerships
  • Ensure partnerships deliver on promises to customers
  • Exemplar CRM administration discipline (Salesforce), performing appropriate, accurate and realistic reporting and forecasting utilizing CRM data – leading by example
  • Helps oversee the timely production and compilation of quality written submissions for pre-qualification documents and tender quality statements
  • Ensures our solutions and product teams have access to clients and market influencers such as consultants
  • Improves competitive position by recommending new applications of systems, providing information on the technical development of systems and assisting in program planning
  • Develops strategic business and political relationships with Ministers, regional transport authorities, regional political leaders, treasury, etc
  • Build relationships with industry ecosystem players including competitors to understand their roadmaps and how to best leverage the changing landscape for our customer’s success and our success
  • Support the Chief Growth Officer in delivery of the strategic goals of the business.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Must have a strong background in Transit products and services.
  • Experience of selling into transit agencies and operators.
  • Demonstrable track record of negotiating and closing partnership deals
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence outcomes with strong negotiation, written and oral communication skills.
  • Passionate about innovation, technology and driving positive customer experience.
  • Must be self-motivated, creative and can work closely in a team environment with other departments and individuals at all levels in the organization.
  • Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of functionals, industry and technology trends.
  • Prior experience of working with private equity desired but not essential.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally.
