Job Summary

Job Description

This role involves implementing and enhancing EHS management systems, assessing and mitigating EHS risks, and monitoring data. Key responsibilities include worker engagement, driving improvement initiatives, and reporting safety violations. The position requires specialized understanding in EHS, contributing to competence development, and coaching employees on safety practices to achieve organizational goals and maintain high safety standards.
Must have:
  • Demonstrate commitment to a high standard of safety and ensure compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental plan.
  • Review EHS Data Packages, Hazard Analyses, and other supporting data.
  • Track, manage, and mitigate safety risks; report status at review forums.
  • Communicate by providing a common direction and commitment for achieving goals and improvement initiatives.
  • Report safety violations or potential safety violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Bachelor degree in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Environment).
  • Master of Engineering - Industrial safety Engineering / RLI- Industrial safety or BE Fire and safety (mandatory).
  • 3+ years of work experience in HSE function.
Good to have:
  • Competent knowledge in EHS Management system requirements understanding and implementation.
  • Proficiency in environmental parameters, chemical reactions and its reaction on human health & work environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Experience in handling Legal & compliance Pollution control board & Fire Department.
  • Experience in customer handling topic like ESG & Sustainability.
  • Experience in Handling Internal & External HSE related Audits.
  • Advanced knowledge on analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Competent in auditing and assessments.
  • Basic/Advanced knowledge on data digitization and visualization tools (Power BI).
  • Competent in networking with professional communities to bench mark best practices.

Job Details

EHS Management System Implementation

Demonstrate commitment to a high standard of safety and ensure compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental plan by adhering to all safety laws and the Company's safety policies.

Enhancement of location EHS maturity year on year.

EHS Risks/Impact Assessment Monitoring

Review EHS Data Packages, Hazard Analyses, and other supporting data. Track, manage, and mitigate safety risks; report status at review forums. Participate in and provide recommendations for EHS process improvements.

No. of EHS management improvement programs.

Worker Engagement & Improvement Initiatives

Communicate by providing a common direction and commitment for achieving goals and improvement initiatives and develop a mechanism to enhance worker involvement in EHS improvement activities.

No. of Continual improvement Projects in EHS; No. of Near miss captured & closed; No. of EHS Campaigns.

Communication

Report safety violations or potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel; make recommendations for corrective action.

No. of deviations observed in safety Rounds; No. of unsafe act/unsafe conditions captured.

Competence Development

Requires specialized understanding of multiple aspects. Deep Expert with exposure to national level projects Provides authoritative and determinative guidance; pushes the boundaries of knowledge in a complex /specialized field.

No. of EHS improvement projects done at RO-IN level.

Enabling Competency & Coaching

Contribute for upskilling & reskilling of Employees as per organization needs.

No. of Trained Fire Fighters availability in all shifts; No. of First aiders available; No. of Trainings conducted

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Environment)
