The Senior IBM BAW Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Business Process Applications and Solutions using IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW), IBM FileNet P8, IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) and other related technologies. Key responsibilities include designing and developing BAW applications, integrating ODM for decision management, implementing and maintaining business processes, customizing Coach Views, migrating BPM applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership, performing unit testing, and ensuring adherence to best practices. The role also involves participating in the entire software development lifecycle.
Good To Have:
  • Experience with IBM Content Navigator and Plugins.
  • Familiarity with various SDLC methodologies.
  • Certification in IBM BAW or Related Technologies.
Must Have:
  • 6+ years of experience in IBM BAW Development.
  • Proficiency in Java, JEE, Web Services (REST and SOAP).
  • Strong experience with IBM FileNet, BAW, CMIS & ODM.
  • Expertise in developing and customizing Coach Views.
  • Expertise in simplifying BPM workflows.

Role: IBM BAW Developer / Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IBM BAW Developer with extensive experience in end-to-end Business Process Applications and Solutions development using IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW), IBM FileNet P8, IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) Rules Engine, Heritage Coach Views, Coach Views, External Service Integration and Java/JEE based APIs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing BAW Process Applications & solutions to meet our business needs.



Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Business Process Applications and Solutions using IBM BAW and FileNet.

• Implement and Integrate IBM ODM for decision management.

• Implement and maintain business processes and workflows.

• Develop and customize Coach Views and Heritage Coach Views.

• Migrate and Transform BPM Process Applications including live Process Instances from legacy / old versions of IBM BAW instances.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

• Provide Technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.

• Perform Unit testing and debugging of applications.

• Ensure Adherence to best practices and coding standards.

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.

Works in the area of Software Engineering, which encompasses the development, maintenance and optimization of software solutions/applications.1. Applies scientific methods to analyse and solve software engineering problems.2. He/she is responsible for the development and application of software engineering practice and knowledge, in research, design, development and maintenance.3. His/her work requires the exercise of original thought and judgement and the ability to supervise the technical and administrative work of other software engineers.4. The software engineer builds skills and expertise of his/her software engineering discipline to reach standard software engineer skills expectations for the applicable role, as defined in Professional Communities.5. The software engineer collaborates and acts as team player with other software engineers and stakeholders.

Primary Skills

6+ years of experience in IBM BAW Development.

• Proficiency in Java, JEE, Web Services (REST and SOAP).

• Strong experience with IBM FileNet, IBM BAW, IBM CMIS & IBM ODM.

• Expertise in developing and customizing Coach Views and Heritage Coach Views.

• Expertise in simplifying BPM workflows with complex algorithms, and ability to troubleshoot and optimize transactions with high response times.

• Strong understanding of Business User centred design principles and best practices.

• Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with IBM Content Navigator, Developing Plugins and BAW Widgets.

• Familiarity with various SDLC methodologies.

• Certification in IBM BAW or Related Technologies.
