Job Description

The IT Manager - Network & Security will oversee the entire IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security. This role involves managing hardware, software, and network systems, with a strong focus on endpoint, web, and application security. Key responsibilities include configuring network infrastructure, building SDWAN, ensuring data security, and managing Active Directory. The manager will also lead the IT team, provide expert support, and ensure compliance with security standards through audits and policy enforcement. Strong project management and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
Must have:
  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure and security.
  • Hands-on experience with EDR, Gateway, and endpoint security products.
  • Configure and manage network infrastructure including firewalls and switches.
  • Build and configure SDWAN infrastructure.
  • Ensure data security for private and public facing endpoints.
  • Manage Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Provide expert-level IT support and minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for IT procurement and upgrades.
  • Design and develop organization security plans.
  • Implement robust security measures and maintain compliance.
  • Oversee security audits, risk assessments, and disaster recovery.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the IT team.
  • Ensure high-quality IT support for all users.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in managing complex IT projects.
Good to have:
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP)

Roles and responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure Management:

  • Manage and Maintain IT Infrastructure and securities: Oversee the entire IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security, including managing hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Endpoint Management: Should have hands-on experience on EDR, Gateway and endpoint security products.
  • Web and Application Security on all Public/Shared and inhouse portals.
  • Network Administration: Configure and manage network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and access points to ensure a secure and reliable network environment.
  • Build and configure SDWAN infrastructure to utilise best of the internet output and performance.
  • Ensuring Data security of organisations private and public facing endpoints.
  • Design and implement Enterprise Wi-Fi management.
  • Network Administration: Configure and manage network infrastructure, including Active Directory & WSUS: Manage Active Directory (AD), Group Policy for effective user authentication and timely software updates.
  • Audio-Video Conferencing: Set up and support audio-video conferencing systems, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration within the company.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain accurate documentation of all IT systems, processes, and procedures to ensure consistent knowledge sharing and compliance.
  • IT Support: Provide expert-level support for all IT-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing downtime.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to understand IT needs, implement solutions and provide training as necessary.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors to ensure timely procurement, maintenance, and upgrades of IT hardware and software.
  • Practice ITIL framework project leadership.
  • Design and develop organisation security plans for shared and cloud infrastructure.
  • Optimized help desk performance through process improvements, enabling faster response times and increased user satisfaction levels.
  • Implementation and support of network monitoring tools.
  • Optimized network security with implementation of firewalls, UTM and intrusion prevention systems and mitigation tools.

Security and Compliance:

  • Ensure the implementation of robust security measures to protect company data and IT assets.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Oversee regular security audits, risk assessments, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures.

Team Management:

  • Manage, mentor, and develop the IT team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Set performance goals for self and the team, conduct regular evaluations, and provide feedback and training opportunities.
  • Ensure the IT team has the necessary resources and skills to meet organizational needs.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the IT team.

User Support and Experience:

  • Ensure high-quality IT support for all users, addressing issues promptly and effectively.
  • Implement user training programs to enhance IT literacy and self-sufficiency.
  • Monitor user satisfaction and continuously seek ways to improve the IT support experience.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align IT strategy with business goals and drive technology initiatives.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing complex IT projects, from planning to execution.
  • Certifications: Relevant IT certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP,) are a plus.
