Job Description

The Worldwide Publicity team at Lionsgate seeks an intern to assist in developing and implementing publicity campaigns for Lionsgate films. Responsibilities include monitoring press breaks, creating tune-ins, managing files, taking notes on agency calls, creating agendas, updating calendars and timelines, assisting with talent logistics, creating data reports, and assisting press and talent managers. The intern will also create press audit reports and contribute to general publicity analysis. This 10-week summer internship (June 10th - August 15th, 2025) requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in Google Drive, Microsoft Suite, Muck Rack, Daily Buzz, and Teams. Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere is a plus. The internship is paid at $18/hour and requires a minimum of 4 days per week in the Santa Monica office.
Must have:
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written)

Summary of Position

The Worldwide Publicity team is seeking an intern who is interested and eager to learn about film marketing. The intern will work directly with the Publicity team to help assist in developing and implementing publicity campaigns to promote Lionsgate films. 

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and organize press breaks. 
  • Create tune-ins. 
  • File magazines needed for press and talent research. 
  • Listen and take notes on agency calls. 
  • Help create agendas for internal and external meetings. 
  • Update calendars, campaign timelines, and other applicable documents. 
  • Help with talent logistics / schedules / comms. 
  • Create data reports on performance of trailer launches and various debuts. 
  • Assist press and talent managers when needed. 
  • Create press audit reports on other film campaigns, press and digital formats, and general publicity analyses.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or any related field  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • In-depth working knowledge of Google Drive, Microsoft Suite, Muck Rack, Daily Buzz, and Teams. 
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Resourceful, proactive & takes initiative
  • Willing to share creative ideas and executions
  • Adobe Photoshop and Premiere skills a plus

All interns are required to attend orientation on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025.

Details

  • Interns must not work more than 36 hours per week
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree
  • Interns must be current rising juniors through recent grads (within 6 months of internship start date)
  • Graduate students are eligible to apply
  • Interns must be available to work for the entire length of the program
  • All internships are paid
  • Most internship positions will require working 4 days in office

The Worldwide Publicity team at Lionsgate oversees all publicity campaigns for upcoming theatrical releases. Our team creates thought-out, strategic, and creative campaigns that include trailer launches, press junkets, film festivals, premieres, conventions, and other various activities that engage audiences and generate excitement about our films.  

Compensation

$18 per hour
