POSITION SUMMARY

At Domo, we are passionate about making enterprise software that people actually want to use. The UX team partners directly with our Product Management and Engineering teams. We are driven by a passion to help people solve complex problems and turn software they use ‘for work’ into products they love.

As an Intern Designer at Domo, you will help design experiences that connect people with their data in meaningful ways, transforming complex tools traditionally used by data scientists and analysts into tools as simple as PowerPoint, so the data is accessible to everyone. You will help give people the power to discover new patterns in their business, create alerts to notify them of anomalies, and predict where they should focus their efforts to get the best results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable;
• Design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant;
• Interact with product managers and engineers to design various stages of the user experience of a product from conception to launch;
• Present your work (from sketches to final design) and articulate your design decisions to the design team, product team, and even executives for review and feedback;
• Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise our bar for quality.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• College student currently enrolled in digital design, interaction design, UX design, or related programs;
• Self-starters who are motivated by challenges, driven by natural curiosity, and interested in solving big problems;
• Experience designing digital products, on web and mobile (experience with enterprise software a plus);
• Experience with the ‘full-stack’ of design skills, from needs finding, wireframing, UI design, writing, prototyping, and presenting experiences;
• Effective at understanding and breaking down complex ideas into simple ones, and combining them into novel solutions;
• Collaborates well with both designers and stakeholders, and communicates effectively when presenting and in writing;
• Familiarity with design tools like Figma;
• Learns quickly by jumping into the deep end, is unafraid of asking questions, and doesn’t quit before mastering both design skill and product know-how.
