Job Description

Placement working as part of the Reliability Engineering & Operations (REO) team supporting the CME Group IT Change Management function, ensuring IT Change Management Process & Procedures are applied to all configuration changes to CME’s controlled environments. Identifying and working with teams to mitigate risk to the enterprise, working to improve quality of delivery in line with corporate goals. Ensuring regulatory requirements are met and ensuring continued operations and execution of all CME Group Systems. Drive alignment between technology and business teams goals by providing transparency to all stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to develop technical and soft skills, gain practical experience, apply academic knowledge, and build professional connections.
Must have:
  • Support the day to day running of IT Change Management, assisting our Remedy/ServiceNow users and support groups
  • Help teams understand and follow Change Process and procedures appropriate for their role
  • Review eCAB processes to ensure necessary risk reviews have taken place before approvals
  • Coordinate with impacted teams when larger than normal change windows / application downtime will be required
  • Input into the Strategic Release Management (SRM) meetings for major impacting changes
  • Ensure Change Management documents and confluence pages are kept up to date and shared with the necessary users
  • Work with the POD teams and Engineers to evolve the Change Process to ensure reliable continuous deployment delivery in a safe and structured way
  • Review and report on Change fallout to determine areas for improvement
