Job Description

This role is a Japanese Localization Specialist responsible for ensuring top-tier Japanese localization quality in games. Responsibilities include creating and supporting in-game text and visual content, supervising Japanese dubbing scripts, translating game and promotional text, conducting LQA, assisting with localization strategy, streamlining translation processes, and collaborating on multilingual localization projects. The ideal candidate possesses deep FPS/TPS game understanding, fluency in Japanese and Simplified Chinese, 3-5 years of game localization experience, proficiency with TMS, CAT tools (memoQ preferred), and LQA tools. Additional skills in XML/HTML, meticulous attention to detail, and strong teamwork and independent work capabilities are essential.

Must have:

Deep understanding of FPS/TPS games
Fluency in Japanese & Simplified Chinese
3-5 years game localization experience
Proficiency in TMS, CAT tools (memoQ preferred), LQA tools
Excellent communication & teamwork skills

Good to have:

Translation degree
TAPD/Jira experience
Git experience
LQA/voice recording experience
Anime/manga/game interest (especially shooting games)

What the Role Entails

業務内容

1. ゲーム内で使用されるテキストや視覚コンテンツの作成支援を行い、日本語のローカライズ品質が業界トップレベルに達するようにする。

2. 日本語吹き替え台本の監修を担当する。

3. ゲーム内またはプロモーションで使用されるテキストの翻訳を行い、第三者のローカライズ会社が提供するコンテンツの品質を監査する。

4. 日本語のLQAを担当し、テスト結果と修正がプロジェクトのニーズに合致していることを保証する。

5. 日本市場および他の市場でのローカライズ戦略に支援を提供する。

6. 翻訳プロセスのシステム化やゲーム内テキストの統一を通じて手作業を最小限に抑える。

7. 他言語のローカライゼーションに参加し、PMと協力して関連業務を行う：グロッサリー管理、TM整理、文書の分析/アップロード、競合分析、フォント研究などが含まれる。

Who We Look For

応募資格

1. FPS/TPSゲームに関する深い理解があること。

2. 日本語と簡体字中国語が堪能であり（書面および口頭）、優れたコミュニケーションスキルを持っていること。

3. 3～5年のゲームローカライゼーションの経験。

4. TMS、CATツール（memoQ優先）およびLQAツールに精通していること。

5. MS Word、Excelに熟練し、XML/HTMLの基礎知識があること。

6. 細かい部分に気づけることができ、優れたスケジュール管理能力とマルチタスク能力を持っていること。

7. チームでの協力ができる一方で、独立して業務を遂行する能力も持っていること。

あると望ましい経験(必須ではない)

・翻訳または関連分野の大学の学位を持っていること。

・TAPDやJiraに精通していること。

・Gitの使用経験があること。

・LQAやアフレコ収録・現場監督の経験があること。

・アニメや漫画、ゲームなどのコンテンツやサブカルチャーに対して興味（特にシューティングゲーム）や経験があること。
