We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Analyst to join our Area Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This role supports financial planning by delivering actionable insights and involves cross-functional collaboration for accurate financial information, informing strategic decisions. Ideal for early-career professionals, the FP&A Analyst will support financial performance analysis for Area businesses, providing critical insights to Finance Business Partners and stakeholders. This enables data-driven decisions, enhancing product profitability and operational performance, and provides the analytical foundation for budgeting and forecasting processes. Strong financial acumen, analytical rigor, and business understanding are essential.
Must have:
  • Develop and maintain high-quality financial analysis focused on product performance, cost drivers, and profitability using data from multiple sources.
  • Prepare financial and operational data to support identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business dynamics into meaningful financial narratives.
  • Support performance review cycles (MPRs, QBRs, Budgets) by delivering accurate analysis, monthly adjustments, and reporting material.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including variable costs, productivity metrics, and operational efficiency.
  • Simulate P&L scenarios and prepare business performance reports with financial insights and Q&A materials.
  • Enhance the accuracy, relevance, and efficiency of financials through process improvements and collaborative feedback loops.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years in financial analysis or business partnering roles.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and SAP-BI/BW tools.
  • Ability to convert complex data into actionable insights.

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated FP&A Analyst to support financial performance analysis processes for Area businesses. This role is critical in delivering actionable insights to Finance Business Partners and business stakeholders, enabling data-driven decisions that enhance product profitability and operational performance. While this position does not involve direct budgeting or forecasting, it provides the analytical foundation that informs those processes.

This role requires a strong blend of financial acumen, analytical rigor, and business understanding to effectively support cross-functional teams and add value across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality financial analysis focused on product performance, cost drivers, and profitability using data from multiple sources (Ocean and Logistics & Services).
  • Prepare financial and operational data to support the COE Manager in identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business dynamics into meaningful financial narratives.
  • Support performance review cycles (MPRs, QBRs, Budgets) by delivering accurate analysis, monthly adjustments, and reporting material.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including variable costs, productivity metrics, and operational efficiency.
  • Simulate P&L scenarios and prepare business performance reports with financial insights and Q&A materials.
  • Enhance the accuracy, relevance, and efficiency of financials through process improvements (data validation) and collaborative feedback loops.

The Basics

  • Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in financial analysis or business partnering roles.
  • Skills:
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management
  • Proficiency in Excel and tools like Power BI, SAP-BI/BW
  • Ability to convert complex data into actionable insights independently
