We are looking for a Junior Packaging (Product) Architect on a permanent contract to join our teams in Bordeaux.
As a specialist in mechanical development, the incumbent participates in studies, research and development, as well as technical support for existing products in production and operation. They seek innovative and reliable solutions.
They ensure performance, cost control, adherence to deadlines, and work in multi-disciplinary teams (mechanical, optical, electronic).
As a Junior Packaging Architect, your main missions will be:
- Lead the mechanical developments of the unit's products (Visualization, helmet sight, calculator, control panel, tooling, etc.);
- Ensure technical feasibility by applying the design reference (CHORUS2, technical standard, local reference) and taking into account quality, planning, and cost constraints;
- Collaborate with the industrialization department to optimize the industrial aspect of products and tools;
- Ensure product robustness with regard to environmental constraints as well as compliance with regulations (REACH, RoHS, etc.);
- Lead the creation of the product definition file ensuring its quality: detailed plan, general plan, item and document nomenclatures;
- Produce the justification file for the definition and functional analyses;
- Master configuration management rules;
- Participate in technical support for production lines and operations by handling product evolutions, obsolescence treatments, or design defects identified during the product's life;
- Ensure constant technological watch on the "mechanical design" profession, propose areas for improvement to advance the department.
You have a BAC+5 (engineering school or equivalent) specialized in mechanical design and have:
- knowledge of different industrial mechanical technologies (sheet metal, machining, foundry, plastic and metal injection), materials, surface treatment, connectivity, thermal drainage of electronic boards,
- CAD skills (CATIA V5),
- knowledge of electronic packaging and design rules for aeronautical products,
- notions of qualification and certification,
- knowledge of optical packaging, knowledge of aeronautical environmental standards (MIL-STD-810 and DO-160)? That's a plus!
- proficiency in English (oral and written).
