Job Description

As a Lead Marketing Data Analyst, you will design and drive high-impact analytics solutions, including developing advanced statistical frameworks for marketing performance, building data pipelines, and creating interactive tools. You will act as a thought partner to marketing leaders, mentor junior analysts, and provide insights into user behavior. Your role involves visualizing and communicating data analysis results to senior stakeholders, making data-driven recommendations, and applying statistical methodologies to evaluate major initiatives.
Must have:

  • Develop advanced statistical frameworks to evaluate marketing performance.
  • Build data pipelines that integrate third-party sources.
  • Create interactive tools that empower partner teams.
  • Act as a thought partner to marketing leaders.
  • Mentor junior analysts and help shape the analytics team’s culture and processes.
  • Work with Marketing and user Acquisition teams to provide insights into user behavior.
  • Visualize and communicate the results of data analysis to senior stakeholders.
  • Make data driven recommendations that support key decisions.
  • Apply statistical methodologies to evaluate performance and account for uncertainties.
  • Demonstrated experience with predictive modeling, statistics, experimental design, optimization, data visualization.
  • Understanding of marketing metrics and KPIs, with experience in campaign optimization, LTV modeling, and incrementality analysis.
  • Strong business acumen and domain knowledge in user acquisition, product marketing, and privacy frameworks like ATT.
  • Strong experience in SQL and Python.
  • Adept in at least one visualization tool such as Tableau.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A fast learner, highly meticulous and proactive individual.
  • A team player, you establish effective relationships to work with others for the win.
  • A genuine interest in people management and leadership development.
  • 3+ years of work experience in data science or analytics roles.

Position Overview

We are looking to welcome yet another brilliant Lead Marketing Data Analyst into our Marketing Analytics team.

As a Lead Data Analyst, you’ll be responsible for designing and driving high-impact analytics solutions—from developing advanced statistical frameworks to evaluate marketing performance, to building data pipelines that integrate third-party sources, to creating interactive tools that empower partner teams. These are just a few examples of the initiatives you’ll help lead and deliver end-to-end, playing a key role in shaping the technical direction of our analytics efforts. The demands on this team are constantly evolving with the needs of Socialpoint’s and Zynga’s dynamic marketing teams, so it is important that you be able to adapt and utilize your time efficiently.

What You'll Do

  • Act as a thought partner to marketing leaders, identifying opportunities for growth, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Mentor junior analysts and help shape the analytics team’s culture and processes.Work with the Marketing and user Acquisition teams to provide insights into user behavior and answer key business questions.
  • Visualize and communicate the results of your data analysis to senior stakeholders, making data driven recommendations that support key decisions.
  • Apply statistical methodologies to evaluate performance and account for uncertainties in major initiatives.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience with some or all of the following: predictive modeling, statistics, experimental design, optimization, data visualization.
  • Understanding of marketing metrics and KPIs, with experience in campaign optimization, Lifetime Value (LTV) modeling, and incrementality analysis.
  • Strong business acumen and domain knowledge in user acquisition, product marketing, and privacy frameworks like ATT
  • Strong experience in SQL and Python; Adept in at least one visualization tool such as Tableau.
  • Strong communication skills — you can explain complex data in simple, actionable terms
  • A fast learner, highly meticulous and proactive individual.
  • A team player, you establish effective relationships to work with others for the win.
  • A genuine interest in people management and leadership development.
  • 3+ years of work experience in data science or analytics roles .
  • BS in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative fields; Masters or PhD strongly preferred.
