Key Responsibilities
- Liaising directly with clients to understand and relay their test needs and respond with progress updates and required information.
- Applying the Universally Speaking test process (or client’s variation) through the whole project’s lifecycle.
- Performing vetting of bugs before submission to client in order to reduce mistakes.
- Daily assigning of tasks to testers within the scope of projects being delivered.
- Supervising and guiding creation of test scripts, cases, and other test artefacts as required.
- Review, develop, and provide feedback to testers in your team, nurturing a productive and positive environment.
- Provide PDPs at scheduled intervals to guide tester growth and provide clear feedback.
- Work with other Leads as needed to drive coverage, quality, and responsiveness to testing and client needs.
- Create End of Day Reports and other report materials as required by project to share with all stakeholders.
- Ensure KPIs and other required data are accurate and compiled correctly.
- Participate in test requirement gathering with developers to ensure appropriate coverage and build the understanding required to test the software properly.
- Support the Project Manager in handling complex tasks and group activities as required.
- Work with the Project Manager to ensure project is appropriately staffed each day.
- Co-ordinate with the Project Manager and other stakeholders as required to present a united line of communications to clients.
- Perform hands on testing to the set process, as and when required on a given project.
- Work with your colleagues to overcome challenges faced day-to-day.
- Coach and assist colleagues in best practice, improving overall performance for the team, ensuring fairness and consistency in your approach.
- Ensure you and your team adhere to expected behaviours in line with company values, policies and procedures.
- Ensure distribution sheets are correct daily and that the right equipment is provisioned for work to continue effectively.
- Try new techniques and approaches as required to fulfil the set test requirement.
- Provide feedback to your team and suggestions for improvements in the way we work, escalating where necessary.
- Monitor for Health and Safety concerns in your environment and report where intervention is required.
- Offer support to B&D team and processes by agreement.

Performance is measured on a twice-yearly basis via our PDP system, considering the points above, as well as conduct, behaviors and attendance to give a balanced overall review.
While infrequent, you may on occasion be asked to travel for the purposes of client meetings, events, or cross-site work, with immediately relevant costs to be covered by the business.
