Electronic Arts is seeking a Lead QA Specialist to guide quality strategy and lead the Quality Assurance team. Responsibilities include developing comprehensive test strategies, building relationships with development teams to improve player experience, driving stakeholder engagement, designing and implementing manual and automated test plans, identifying process improvements, mentoring peers, and promoting a "Player First" approach. The role involves working in partnership to improve testing and operational processes for product efficiency.
Must have:

You will report to QA Leadership, creating and guiding our quality strategy in partnership with our Quality Assurance and Development team members. You will lead and coordinate our Quality Assurance team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software. Responsibilities:
  • You will lead the development of comprehensive test strategies.
  • You will build working relationships with senior members of the development, production, and design teams that you will use to guide a higher quality player experience through tasks such as feature planning, analyzing internal data/player data, and feature/design reviews.
  • You will drive stakeholder engagement and management, promoting collaboration and agreement on quality goals.
  • You will design and implement test planning using both manual and automated testing methods, prioritizing risk-based testing and strategic decision-making.
  • You will identify areas of improvement across QA processes and workflows, proposing and implementing solutions to lead quality and efficiency.
  • You will be a mentor for peers, assisting with and growing their knowledge.
  • You will promote a "Player First" approach always and be an advocate for the player in everything we do to help us achieve a high-quality experience for our players.
  • You will work in partnership with your peers and Stakeholders to improve testing/operational processes to lead product efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, supporting multiple platforms such as Mobile, PC, and Gaming Consoles.
  • 1+ year of experience in leadership, leading a QA team in a software development environment and influencing senior partners.
  • Experience creating end-to-end test strategies and conducting test planning.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with software/game development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Proficiency in using test and issue management systems (e.g., JIRA, Test Rail) and process documentation.
  • Knowledge of Upstream Quality practices, including CI/CD, bug prevention, and containment strategies.
  • Understand test automation principles and a motivation to learning and applying AI-powered testing tools, platforms, or AI-assisted test generation techniques.
