Job Description

The Solution Engineer team helps companies unravel complex problems and supports their transformation to a new level of digitalization. Solution Engineers collaborate with customers, sales teams, professional services, and partners to deliver innovative solutions. This role involves proposing solutions to customers in the construction, real estate, travel, transportation, hospitality, and retail industries, leading sales teams technically, and assisting in systemization plans. It includes designing solutions using all Salesforce products, creating customized demos, and driving orchestration for sales processes.
Must have:
  • Propose optimal solutions by combining technical knowledge and industry understanding.
  • Act as a technical leader for the sales team and assist in account planning and sales strategy.
  • Collaborate with multiple technical teams in large deals for overall promotion.
  • Conduct workshops to discover issues and needs.
  • Communicate the benefits and strengths of Salesforce solutions to prospects.
  • Convey Salesforce's value to customers from technical and business perspectives.
  • Deliver presentations to executives and on-site teams.
  • Perform custom demonstrations based on client requirements.
  • Communicate with external partners for project planning and support.
  • Assist sales in creating target account sales strategies, proposals, and RFI/RFP responses.
  • Stay updated on industry and technology trends.
  • Explain market requirements and needs to marketing and product development departments.
  • Derive best practices from proposal activities and share assets and information with sales teams and internal communities.
  • Manage multiple client companies and projects simultaneously.
  • 5+ years of experience in pre-sales, marketing solution proposals, project management, or consulting in a software company or system integrator.
  • Architectural consideration skills to make proposed solutions feasible.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Logical analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Goal-oriented thinking.
  • Leadership and influence to promote teamwork.
  • Fluent Japanese.
  • Conversational English.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of multiple Salesforce products (Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Tableau, Slack, MuleSoft, Data Cloud).
  • Experience handling enterprise accounts.
  • Track record of delivering sales presentations to executives.
  • Successful experience in pre-sales, marketing, project management, or consulting roles.
  • Experience/qualifications as an enterprise architect.

Role Description

  • Solution proposal activities and technical leadership for sales teams for customers in the construction/real estate, travel/transportation/hospitality, and retail industries.
  • Discover customers' business challenges and needs, propose solutions, and support the formulation of future systemization plans.
  • Solution design utilizing all Salesforce products, including CRM, marketing, analytics, AI, data, and integration platforms, and creation of proposals for implementation.
  • Creation and execution of customized demos as concrete images of vision and problem-solving solutions.
  • Promote orchestration to provide appropriate resources and activities for stakeholders involved in customer and internal sales processes.
  • Creation of various sales materials as an industry leader.
  • Utilizing know-how gained from proposal activities, analyze digital trends and industries, and create industry-specific solution maps, industry-specific demos and journey scenarios, and proposal templates.
  • Support marketing activities by speaking at seminars & events and conducting demonstrations.

Responsibilities

As a Solution Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

Basic requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in pre-sales, marketing solution proposals, project management, or consulting in a software company or system integrator.
  • Ability to combine technical knowledge and industry understanding to create optimal proposals for customers.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Logical analysis and problem-solving skills.
