Job Description

SurveyMonkey is seeking an experienced Lead Web Analyst with expert-level Amplitude knowledge to join their Web team. This role focuses on driving deep user behavior analysis, identifying conversion opportunities, and delivering insights that directly impact sign-ups, lead conversion, and MQL growth. The analyst will lead web optimization efforts, partnering with cross-functional teams to guide decisions through data, with a strong emphasis on user journey analysis and web performance frameworks.
Must have:
  • Analyze user journeys in Amplitude to uncover friction points and optimization opportunities.
  • Build web performance frameworks to track and improve KPIs related to conversion and engagement.
  • Develop dashboards and reports using Tableau and Amplitude for executive insights.
  • Support A/B testing with data-driven hypotheses, success criteria, and impact analysis.
  • Ensure clean, accurate tracking, managing GTM implementation and validating data pipelines.
  • Translate user behavior into actionable recommendations with clear business impact.
  • Lead analytics for web initiatives, proactively surfacing insights to drive experimentation.
  • Collaborate across teams, aligning data work with Marketing, Product, Engineering, and RevOps goals.
  • 7+ years in marketing/product analytics, focused on web and user journey analysis.
  • Advanced Amplitude skills with hands-on experience in funnel analysis and segmentation.
  • Strong communication skills to turn complex data into compelling stories for executives.
  • SQL proficiency and experience building dashboards in Tableau.
  • Expertise in A/B testing, data instrumentation, and managing GTM/web tracking.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced or high-growth environments.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for an experienced Lead Web Analyst with expert-level Amplitude knowledge to join our fast-moving Web team. You’ll drive deep user behavior analysis, surface conversion opportunities, and deliver insights that directly impact sign-ups, lead conversion, and MQL growth. You’ll be the analytics lead for web optimization, partnering with cross-functional teams to guide decisions through data.

What you’ll be working on

  • Analyze user journeys in Amplitude to uncover friction points, behavioral insights, and optimization opportunities across self-serve and sales-assisted funnels.
  • Build web performance frameworks to track and improve KPIs related to conversion, engagement, and user flow.
  • Develop dashboards and reports using Tableau and Amplitude, delivering clear, executive-ready insights on trends, shifts, and growth opportunities.
  • Support A/B testing with data-driven hypotheses, success criteria, and impact analysis across key pages and flows.
  • Ensure clean, accurate tracking, managing GTM implementation and collaborating with Engineering to validate pipelines and event logic.
  • Tell clear data stories, translating behavior into actionable recommendations with business impact.
  • Lead analytics for web initiatives, proactively surfacing insights that drive experimentation and reduce drop-off.
  • Collaborate across teams, aligning data work with Marketing, Product, Engineering, and RevOps goals using tools like Jira and Confluence.

We’d love to hear from people with

  • 7+ years in marketing/product analytics, focused on web and user journey analysis for B2B or self-serve digital funnels.
  • Advanced Amplitude skills with hands-on experience in funnel analysis, segmentation, and optimization.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to turn complex data into compelling stories for executive audiences.
  • SQL proficiency and experience building dashboards in Tableau.
  • Expertise in A/B testing, data instrumentation, and managing GTM/web tracking.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced or high-growth environments.

The base pay provided for this position ranges from $110,500 / year - $149,500 / year depending on the geographic market and assuming a full-time schedule. Actual base pay is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education or training, skills, and experience.

Bonuses and commissions may also be offered as part of the total compensation package, in addition to a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; paid holidays; paid time off; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
