Job Summary

Job Description

You will be part of the Lean Manufacturing area, responsible for process improvement within the production of new locomotives and repaired items. You will work in a collaborative and dynamic environment, with strong interface with manufacturing, quality, materials, and process areas. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to monitor new projects and lead improvements in manufacturing processes and administrative systems. You will be responsible for assisting in project management, monitoring the factory's 5S program, monitoring the kaizen program, and supporting the implementation of Lean culture.
Must have:
  • Studying Mechanical Engineering, Production, or related fields, with graduation expected from 2027.
  • Intermediate English.
  • Communication skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Assist in implementing continuous improvement projects in operational and administrative areas.
  • Assist in creating and implementing operational KPIs.
  • Lead problem-solving discussions focused on root causes using the A3 tool.
  • Assist in the execution and recording of Kaizens.
  • Perform process mapping.
  • Conduct 5S audits.

  • Ability to communicate with all audiences (manufacturing and administrative).

Who will you work with?

You will have direct contact with the entire Supply Chain structure and will have training in problem-solving with a Lean Sensei.

How will you make a difference?

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to monitor new projects and lead improvements in manufacturing processes and administrative systems. You will be responsible for assisting in project management, monitoring the factory's 5S program, monitoring the kaizen program and supporting the implementation of Lean culture. Your communication skills for all audiences, manufacturing and administrative, teamwork ability and proactivity, with initiative and autonomy, will be essential for good work.

What do we want to know about you?

What will your day-to-day be like?

  • Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement projects in operational and administrative areas;
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of operational KPIs, for operation control and creation of mechanisms such as Routine Management;
  • Lead problem-solving discussions focused on root causes using the A3 tool;
  • Assist in the execution and records of Kaizens;
  • Perform process mapping, ensuring the fluidity of information, productivity improvements and process standardization;
  • Conduct 5S audits.
