Inspired is seeking an experienced and commercially-minded solicitor to join our Legal & Compliance team, with a primary focus on commercial contracts. This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-to-senior level lawyer who thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative environment and is keen to contribute to meaningful, business-driven legal work. This role offers flexibility — you can be based remotely, or work on a hybrid basis with access to our Manchester and Burton-on-Trent offices.

About the Role
You will work closely with the General Counsel and other legal team members to support a wide variety of commercial matters, helping the business structure, negotiate, and execute contracts that support our growth strategy and mitigate risk. You’ll play a key role in enabling our business units to deliver efficiently and compliantly, while adding real commercial value. You’ll be joining a close-knit Legal & Compliance team that spans company secretarial, regulatory compliance, and information security functions. The team includes the General Counsel, Head of Legal, Legal Counsel, and a US-based securities law consultant.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Deliver practical, business-focused legal advice across the Group.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage a broad range of commercial contracts including sales, licensing, distribution, platform, support, and confidentiality agreements.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure legal compliance and alignment with business goals.
• Build strong working relationships with teams across the organisation to deepen your understanding of our business priorities and tailor your legal support accordingly.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of legal strategy in line with broader company goals.
• Take part in regular legal team meetings and collaborate on work prioritisation and planning.
• Demonstrate curiosity and agility by learning new areas of law and taking ownership of key portfolios.
• Ensure compliance with internal approvals and risk management frameworks.
• Support the business in identifying and mitigating legal and commercial risks.
• Keep legal colleagues informed of key developments and provide timely updates in regular review sessions.

Skills required
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a solicitor (qualified in England & Wales or equivalent) with strong commercial experience — ideally gained in both private practice and in-house settings.
You’ll bring:
