Job Description

Superbloom is seeking a Live Ops Designer / Manager to blend systems thinking with creative storytelling for their game, Venue. This full-time contractor role, based remotely in European regions, involves bridging game design and live operations to ensure features, events, and narratives resonate with a female-leaning audience, maintaining a fresh, emotionally engaging, and commercially strong experience. The role focuses on driving live events, designing Live Ops features, building content strategy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Good To Have:
  • Experience with female-focused casual / lifestyle games.
  • Execution experience in live ops systems and features.
Must Have:
  • Drive live events from concept to execution and iteration.
  • Design and spec out Live Ops features & systems aligned with game direction and KPI goals.
  • Build cohesive narratives and content strategy with an audience-first approach.
  • Collaborate with PM, art, and content teams to deliver fresh and resonant content.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (engineers, artists, product manager, UI UX designer) to deliver Live Ops features and systems.
  • Stay up to date on Live Ops best practices and continuously evolve systems and features.
  • An open mind and respectfulness, adhering to core values of open collaboration, respectful communication, and intentional inclusivity.
  • Passion for work, company vision, and creating elevated social games for underserved audiences.
  • Being nimble and proactive in challenging and improving oneself and solving problems.
  • Background in game design, live ops, or product management.
  • Experience with casual / lifestyle games.
  • Ability to balance creative storytelling with data-driven decision making.
  • Passion for cozy/creative experiences and player-first design.
  • Analytical skills and critical thinking with a data-driven mindset.
  • Curious, experimental, and open to new workflows (e.g., AI-assisted design).

The Role

We’re looking for a Live Ops Designer / Manager who can combine systems thinking with creative storytelling to bring Venue’s content, features, and community to life. This person will bridge game design and live operations, ensuring our features, events, and narratives resonate with our highly female-leaning audience and keep the experience fresh, emotionally engaging, and commercially strong.

This is a full-time contractor role, remote-based in European regions and countries.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive live events from concept → execution → results → iteration.
  • Design and spec out Live Ops features & systems to align with game direction and KPI goals.
  • Build cohesive narratives and content strategy with an audience-first approach.
  • Collaborate with PM, art, and content teams to deliver content that feels fresh and resonant.
  • Work with cross functional team of engineers, artists, product manager and UI UX designer to deliver best in class Live Ops features and systems.
  • Stay up to date on Live Ops best practices and continuously evolve our systems and features.
