Job Description

The Localisation QA Project Manager at SEGA's European Head Office plans, implements, and refines testing strategies according to the Localisation QA Process. This role involves actively managing the testing team, serving as the primary contact for Localisation testing of assigned titles, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. The manager will oversee the successful implementation of LATAM - Spanish language across titles, provide linguistic guidance, and ensure titles meet company expectations and platform requirements, continuously striving for quality improvement.

  • Manage the Linguistic QA process for assigned titles, including concurrent projects.
  • Support and oversee successful implementation of LATAM - Spanish language, providing linguistic guidance.
  • Support management with financial assets, including POs, quotes, monitoring, and tracking monthly costs.
  • Create and update test plans, test cases, and checklists; coordinate test execution.
  • Manage bug and text databases, ensuring defect quality and accurate documentation.
  • Identify and resolve critical risks and issues, escalating as necessary.
  • Monitor test-team output, producing reports on project status, progress, risk, and bug trackers.
  • Manage Localisation Compliance checks to ensure titles are free from issues.
  • Assist Localisation Project Manager with Voice Over / Audio related tasks.
  • Support Localisation Project Managers with ad-hoc localisation tasks.
  • Manage goal setting and performance review process for direct reports.
  • Complete post-mortem reports for released projects, identifying challenges and proposing solutions.
  • Train new and current team members and external teams, sharing knowledge.
  • Work closely with Studios to ensure effective test execution and support.
  • Support the testing and deployment of testing and localisation tools, including AI prompt writing.

Job Details

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Localisation QA Project Manager plans, implements and refines the testing strategies according to the Localisation QA Process. The LQA PM will actively manage the work of the testing team, being the main point of contact for Localisation testing of assigned titles whilst communicating effectively across stakeholders to ensure productive workflows. The LQA Project Manager ensures that the titles in test meet the company’s expectations regarding platform requirements and continuously looks at driving up quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the Linguistic QA process for the assigned titles, including concurrent projects on multiple skus.
  • Support and oversee the successful implementation of the LATAM - Spanish language across our titles, providing linguistic guidance specific to the LATAM - Spanish territories.
  • Support management with financial assets, including POs, providing quotes, monitoring and tracking monthly costs, project amendments etc.
  • Create and update test plans, test cases and checklists. Coordinate test execution and ensure the required level of test coverage is attained in each test phase.
  • Bug and text database management. Ensure defect quality meets the required standard and ensure accurate documentation of the stats and coverage.
  • Identify and resolve critical risks and issues. Escalating to the Head of LQA as necessary.
  • Monitoring test-team output. Produce reports on the status of the project, alongside progress, risk and bug trackers to key stakeholders.
  • Manage Localisation Compliance checks ensuring that the assigned title is free from compliance issues.
  • Assist the Localisation Project Manager in the management of Voice Over / Audio related tasks, including Casting and Voice Over files checks, prior to implementation.
  • Support the Localisation Project Managers with ad-hoc localisation tasks as required.
  • Manage the goal setting and performance review process for direct reports, providing feedback to the LQA PM team as necessary.
  • Complete post-mortem reports for released projects, identifying challenges and proposing solutions to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Train new and current team members and external teams, sharing knowledge and experience to create more efficient workflows and upskilling opportunities.
  • Work closely with Studios. Understanding their development plans and needs to ensure effective test execution and support.
  • Support the testing and deployment of testing and localisation tools, including AI prompt writing support

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong knowledge of LATAM - Spanish language adaptation and LATAM - Spanish territories.
  • Experience with localisation tools and platforms (e.g. memoQ, TestRail, JIRA), and familiarity with AI-driven Localisation and LQA solutions.
  • Understanding of localisation QA methodologies, compliance standards, and platform requirements.
  • Excellent Project Management skills: ability to organise, delegate and prioritise tasks in a timely manner.
  • Experience of tracking budgets, schedules and data effectively and accurately.
  • Experienced and enthusiastic team leader, capable of motivating, inspiring and getting the best out of the team they lead.
  • Clear, concise and professional communicator. Able to summarise key facts in written reports.
  • Good knowledge of first party Standards.
  • Passion for SEGA’s IPs and commitment to delivering world-class localisation quality.
  • Adaptability and desire to improve processes and personal development.
