The Manager, Global Account Management (GAM) is the primary technology, market data, and operational relationship and onboarding manager for CME Group's customers. This role involves working with internal cross-functional teams and client contacts to integrate customers or third-party vendors with CME Group’s various technologies and services used for trading and clearing. Responsibilities include managing customer market data functions, licensing, and daily maintenance of business needs across Futures, Options on Globex and OTC, and Cash Markets. The position acts as the primary contact for E-trading and market data needs in Japan, managing electronic trading-related projects and customer market access in the region. It also involves managing the connectivity onboarding process, serving as a client advocate, and ensuring client readiness for technology changes.

Job Details

The Manager, Global Account Management (GAM) is the primary technology, market data and operational relationship & onboarding manager for CME Group's customers. In this role, the Manager works with internal cross-functional teams and client contacts on the business, technology, market data and operations side to successfully integrate customers or third-party vendors with the CME Group’s various technologies and services used to facilitate trading and clearing on the CME’s various platforms and services, including Globex, connectivity, OTC ClearPort, post-trade STP and risk management tools. Additionally, the role is responsible for managing customers on various market data functions including licensing and daily maintenance of the clients’ market data business needs. The market coverage includes Futures and Options on Globex and OTC as well as Cash Markets (e.g., Spot FX and Bonds).

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for all customers’ E-trading needs in Japan. The role manages all electronic trading-related projects that have a large impact on the electronic trading experience at CME Group.
  • Responsible for managing customer market access for CME in the region, ensuring CME has efficient and viable distribution to existing and potential customers.
  • Must manage the connectivity onboarding process and once the client is successfully connected, the role continues to act as the client advocate and single point of contact for clients’ electronic trading needs and enhance CME’s services and solutions.
  • Ensure client readiness for changes in CME Group’s technologies through regular engagement of business, technical and operational contacts on the client side.
  • Lead and manage the technology relationship with key clients, vendors and intermediary partners. Provide market access education for customers and proactively communicate regarding platform capabilities, tools and services. Partner with internal cross-functional teams to meet client needs across a variety of business and technology topics.
  • Ensure clients to have proper market data licenses in place and work closely with data sales and licensing teams to grow the market data business in Japan.
  • Act as the primary contact for all customers’ market data needs in Japan and communicate (including in-person meetings) with customers for education on market data licensing & policy and obtaining insights into client market data business.
  • Leverage internal business partners, tools and processes to facilitate client onboarding to platforms and market data licensing.

Skills:

  • MS Office suite and Google Workspace tools
  • Problem solving, project management and communication skills 
  • Technical skills (basic network and connectivity knowledge)
  • Financial products and market knowledge (understanding about capital markets)
  • Risk management knowledge (understanding about derivatives for both ETD and OTC products)
