Job Description

You will be the primary IT contact within the country, responsible for IT-related support encompassing operational, application, office builds, service delivery, and escalations. This onsite role in Beijing involves planning, organizing, and evaluating IT operations, designing systems and policies, ensuring data security, identifying improvements, leading staff, monitoring workload, auditing systems, managing vendors, overseeing corporate device lifecycle, and supporting budget planning, all while embodying Grab's V.M.P.

Must Have:

  • Oversee corporate device lifecycle and inventory accuracy.
  • Manage IT infrastructure projects like network upgrades and office relocations.
  • Possess expertise in technical management and computer systems.
  • Proficiency in Mac, Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS support.
  • Experience in vendor management, procurement, and budget control.
  • Minimum 5 years in an IT Operations manager role.

You will be the primary IT contact within the country, responsible for IT-related support encompassing operational, application, office builds, service delivery, and escalations. This is an onsite role based in Beijing. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Country IT.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT operations: ensuring compliance with internal service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Design and implement systems and policies: Collaborate with other teams to develop and coordinate systems, services and procedures.
  • Ensure data security: Maintain the security of data, network access, and infrastructure systems.
  • Identify improvements: Propose solutions to enhance user experience and refine system functionality.
  • Provide leadership and manage staff: Recruit and coach employees, communicate job expectations, and appraise performance.
  • Monitor team workload: Provide regular updates to management on workload trends.
  • Audit systems and processes: Assess outcomes and perform quality control to meet cost/performance goals.
  • Vendor assessment and management: Evaluate vendor capabilities, monitor performance, and provide recommendations.
  • Manage corporate device lifecycle: Ensure inventory accuracy and oversee device management.
  • Participate in budget planning and management: Support Country IT budget planning and control.
  • Embody Grab's V.M.P (Vision. Mission. Principles): Lead changes by bringing clarity, energy, and delivering success.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • IT Operations Management Experience: Minimum 5 years in an IT Operations manager role.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing IT infrastructure projects such as network upgrades, office expansions, and relocations.
  • Technical Knowledge: Expertise in technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems.
  • Team Management: Proven team and resource management experience.
  • End User Computing: Experience in an MNC-level End User Computing function.
  • Operating Systems Support: Proficiency in multiple operating systems (Mac, Windows, Linux, Android, iOS).
  • Vendor and Budget Management: Hands-on experience in procurement, vendor management, and budget control.
  • Device Support: Experience in deploying and supporting desktops, laptops, video conferencing, and networking devices.
  • Data Analytics: Skills in data analytics and dashboard implementation is strongly desired.
  • ITIL Certification: Preferred but not mandatory.
