This role involves coordinating and leading internal and outsourced manufacturing partners for product manufacturing from new product introduction to end of lifecycle. The engineer collaborates to implement localization requirements and end packaging processes to enhance quality and reduce costs. Responsibilities include representing the Manufacturing program management localization team for complex development and manufacturing projects, managing SKU BOM, and driving sustainability initiatives to meet HP's goals.
Must have:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of material properties and hardware and manufacture.
  • Using empirical analysis, modelling and testing methodologies to validate product designs and specifications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate manufacturing plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels.

What a Manufacturing Program Engineer (Localisation) does at HP:

  • Coordinates and leads the activities of internal and outsourced manufacturing partners in support of the worldwide manufacture of a product from new product introduction through end of lifecycle.
  • Collaborates internal, and outsourced manufacturing partners to recommend and implement localization requirements and end packaging process to improve quality and reduce cost.
  • Represents the Manufacturing program management localization team for all phases of larger and more- complex development and manufacturing projects.
  • SKU BOM (Bill Of Material) management and creation.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives to meet HP sustainability commitment and goals.

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Materials/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
  • No prior experience required and fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
  • Using engineering tools and software packages to test, design, and evaluate products and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Understanding of material properties and hardware and manufacture.
  • Using empirical analysis, modelling and testing methodologies to validate product designs and specifications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate manufacturing plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels.
  • Knowledge of smart manufacturing technologies and data analytics will be an added advantage.
  • Power BI and dashboard reporting competency.
