The Mass Properties Engineer will be responsible for managing the mass properties of engines and related systems. They will create and track mass property management, prepare and maintain status accounts. The engineer will also develop, implement, and support tools to manage mass property data and apply configuration and design data management principles. This role involves collaboration with various engineering teams to ensure requirements are met. This position offers opportunities to simplify and transform digital mass property management.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Good to have:
  • Mass property management experience of aerospace engines.
  • Siemens PLM Teamcenter experience.
  • SAP ERP - Configuration and Document Management experience.

Job Title: Mass Properties Engineer

Working Pattern: Fulltime

Working location: Indianapolis, IN

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mass Properties Engineer to join our ET&S (Engineering, Technology & Safety) team. This core/deployed engineering role will ensure that existing and new methods, processes and toolsets are fit-for-purpose, effectively deployed and consistently utilized to facilitate engineers in meeting program/value stream requirements. This will be achieved via a close working relationship with the core system, deployed and retained configuration teams along with NPI (New Product Introduction) and Mature Engine technical and program leads, providing clear line of sight to program/value stream capability requirements.  This role will support the creation, tracking and implementation of mass property management for mature and development engines.

What you will be doing

With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:

  • Simplify and transform how we digitally manage the mass property management of our products, how we capture & manage functional engineering data, and how we develop & deliver our applications to end users.
  • Create mass property management tracking that satisfy all business requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain status accounts such as baselines and changes in line with change notice documents.
  • Specify, develop, implement and support tools to manage mass property data.
  • Apply configuration and design data management principles.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 2+ years of experience in mass property management, or
  • Master's degree in Engineering, or  
  • JD/PhD
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Preferred Requirements:

  • Mass property management experience of aerospace engines
  • Siemens PLM Teamcenter experience
  • SAP ERP - Configuration and Document Management experience
