Job Description

The Monetization Specialist will manage SDKs, optimize ad waterfalls, and handle out-of-waterfall ad inventory for gaming apps. This role involves collaborating with development teams to ensure compliance, maximize revenue, and enhance user engagement through strategic ad placements and in-depth analysis of monetization practices, including in-app purchases and subscriptions. The specialist will also stay updated on industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Must have:
  • Collaborate closely with game development teams to ensure compliance with and adoption of the latest SDK-related regulations and best practices.
  • Facilitate the integration and maintenance of SDKs for optimal ad delivery and user experience.
  • Continuously evaluate and fine-tune the ad waterfall setup for gaming apps to maximize revenue and user engagement.
  • Experiment with various ad networks, formats, and placements to identify the most effective combinations.
  • Support Monetization Manager to manage ad inventory beyond the primary waterfall, including direct deals and programmatic advertising.
  • Implement strategies to fill unsold ad inventory and boost overall ad revenue.
  • Perform in-depth analyses of ad logic, in-app purchases (IAP), and subscription design within gaming apps and direct competitors.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to game development teams to optimize monetization strategies, ad placements, and user engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitors’ practices to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to extract actionable insights from ad performance data.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skill.
  • A deep passion for gaming and an understanding of player behavior and preferences in mobile games.

Job Details

A. Main responsibilities & duties

SDK Management:

  • Collaborate closely with our game development teams to ensure compliance with and adoption of the latest SDK-related regulations and best practices from 3rd-party providers, including Google AdMob, AppLovin’, and more.
  • Facilitate the integration and maintenance of SDKs for optimal ad delivery and user experience.

Ad Waterfall Optimization:

  • Continuously evaluate and fine-tune the ad waterfall setup for our gaming apps to maximize revenue and user engagement.
  • Experiment with various ad networks, formats, and placements to identify the most effective combinations.

Out-of-Waterfall Ad Inventory Management:

  • Support Monetization Manager to manage ad inventory beyond the primary waterfall, including direct deals and programmatic advertising.
  • Implement strategies to fill unsold ad inventory and boost overall ad revenue.

Monetization Practice Analysis:

  • Perform in-depth analyses of ad logic, in-app purchases (IAP), and subscription design within our gaming apps and direct competitors.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to game development teams to optimize monetization strategies, ad placements, and user engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitors’ practices to maintain a competitive edge in mobile game monetization.

B. We’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Prefer experience in mobile app monetization or a related field.
  • Interested in working SDKs, mobile ad networks (e.g., AdMob, AppLovin’), and ad mediation platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to extract actionable insights from ad performance data.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skill.
  • A deep passion for gaming and an understanding of player behavior and preferences in mobile games.
